I'm at that stage in life where I am preparing for empty nest syndrome.
My Father has passed on, so I can't care for him anymore.
My son is almost grown and won't let me care for him anymore.
If I had grandchildren, I'd love to care for them, but my kiddo is only 16 so I BETTER NOT have any grandbabies anytime soon.
And I have no husband to care for.

My nest is slowly emptying out and it's making me aware to the fact that I either need to fill it or I need to start doing things outside of it.

I'd prefer to fill it. I want a hubbie to care for.
But if I can't fill it, then I need to think about possibly getting more involved with career, education, politics, volunteerism, etc...

It's kind of a waiting game right now.

I went through that empty nest stuff - it was horrible - dont wait till its on top of you - get out there and make life work for you now thumbs up

going overseas in a couple of months..
