Do you believe in it ? Who or what were you before ? Who or What will you be next time round ?

BTW;if re-incarnation exists, since there are now more people on the planet than at any time before, where did all the extra bods come from,or are we getting a lot of first timers,or duplicates. And that,s another thing,do you believe that we all have a duplicate self living on another part of the planet ?dunno

"There are now more people on the planet" ..... I have heard a theory, which I like to believe, that not everybody is a real person - they are angels? The reason for their being here is for us to try and learn something from their lives.

One of the hard questions asked about why so many little children must suffer and die -they are angels - not humans - lent to us for a while - and the reasons for their deaths is for us to learn something ......?
Unfortunately, very few are learning anything......?

I find the term "re-incarnation" amusing as in the re introduction of Carnation products into several African countries when banned because of all the chemicals put into their fake milk products etc. that may have caused birth defects plus skin whiteners to enable Black Africans to "lighten up" and look more like white people" garbage...
However, there certainly seems to more proof of the possibilities of re-incarnation than not, once one begins to read the studies from around the world by qualified medical people and researchers, be they psychologists, psychiatrists and others in related fields.
One that may start to open the mind as to the entire popular concepts of Time, and it's effects on distance,; parallel worlds etc and the various speeds of light being slowed down or speed-ed up, see the book "Sight Unseen": by Bud Hopkins and Carol Rainey, 2004; an up to date compendium of the cutting edge of related sciences in the lab and what has been discovered and the continuing experiments. It is not something that is going to assure you that all is well in our Universe. Read the entire book and you may begin a new journey of /in Life...

Shurly this can only be subjective at best… I can’t find any information regarding anyone that has been able to communicate from the position of a re-incarnated being that has anything to talk about. dunno confused

I must admit that I hold the opinion that we live on many levels of existence, Now, Then, Next…
We might as well take what comes when it happens, as what we do in the Now has much to do with what we did in the Past. The Next may be what we may aspire to but what makes us feel we have any control over it.
Australian Aborigines can travel across vast distances following ‘Song Lines’ that past generations have sung into the land itself. Ancient Europeans have used ‘land Lines’ that enable safe travel across continents with no written markers.

Re-incarnation may have always been the unseen energy passed on from the deceased to the Now. As for returning as just another being to endlessly trample the paths of those in the Now, seems a pointless revolving door to nowhere.

JUST FOR FUN CHECK OUT THIS

Lionheart1211: Please define 'honourable' and 'rewarded'

Yes, very good idea. I know of one "honourable" husband who "did the honest thing" and told his wife he is in love with someone else. And every weekend he spends a night with his girlfriend - after telling his wife where he is going. Very honest fellow hey? I just wandering what his reward could possibly be for sharing his guilt?doh

Perhaps I'm not as open minded as you Elley but no I do not believe in reincarnation.

When one dies that's it, end of story...IMHO.

My grandparents were in love for all their lives and when he knew he was dying he promised to send her a sign from the 'after-life'. She waited but never received that sign and she lived for 25 years after his death.

She died in her bed facing a photo of him hanging on her bedroom wall.

Lionheart1211: I agree totally with Marivanna. There is no proof whatsoever about parallel universes. Rather, the authors mentioned and others as well hold the opposite opinion. As far as time is concerned, it does exist. In fact it is one of the four dimensions of the universe. The issue with time is that it is relative, and different observers at different places have different concept of time.

The most scientific defenition of time is "a measure of change" a rate at which things are observed to undergo change.
Contrary to most beliefs, absolute time is non existent. Time is a man made dimension that has helped man to take into perspective the workings of the world and of the universe. It helps to establish certain rules of physics, but then apply that to eternity. How do we distinguish between something that does not seem to fall into our time scale, and one that does?
Reading "a brief history of time" helps here. Strongly recommended.

Yes I definitely believe in it, because I have been here once before. I distinctly remember many interesting things in detail.

I don't want to repeat what I have said in a previous thread, so please look it up.

I also believe that the ones who had a comfortable life, are reincarnated and suffer the second time around. Those that suffer are reincarnated to enjoy life to the full. I believe that this is the closest to the idea of heaven and hell reward theory.
As for myself, having lived a very comfortable life in my past existence, I have been reincarnated this time to suffer, and I have suffered a lot. In what areas? In those areas that I have enjoyed so much in my previous life. That, I think makes a lot of sense.
What do you think???? Any one of you who remembers anything??
By the way, humans are reincarnated as humans.

It makes sense that if we are spiritual beings undergoing a physical experience,it would be against the laws of conservation of energy to assume we just go away[energy can not be destroyed, only transformed]if we are here to experience the endless possibilities[and associated lessons]of physicality,it could not possibly be done in one life time.if we are here to learn,it would make more sense that we are not expected to accomplish this in one short life
as for evidence, there are many stories available.the ones i found the most interesting are the stories of young children [in the 3 to 6 yr old range]who when asked who they were before, supplied answers.one i know of was covered by ABC news about a 5 yr old boy with a fascination with WW2 aircraft[and a knowledge of details far beyond what he had been exposed to]he was also frequented by nightmares of burning to death.his case was studied and it turned out he go all the details of a WW2 dogfight in the south pacific right, down to the unit insignia and the names of his fellow pilots.[one of which was still alive and verified the young boys story]
it has been awhile since i heard the story, but if you are interested,i can find the sources for you

I like the idea or reincarnation, however it makes me wonder about the purpose. Looks like a breeding ground. If it is to develop smth or into smth is it an oversight [of breeding powers] for some of us to remember or the opposite? Or are we still too savage to be given access?

There are lots of stories of speaking proper foreign [even ancient] languages, memories, etc...

What would you make out of multiple personality disorders? Two souls by mistake reincarnated onto one body?

I think school or training ground would be close. There are enough stories, that although they don't constitute scientific proof, make it hard to dismiss[and very interesting]
I really don't know much about multiple personality disorders, but I have never run across anything regarding more than one soul in a body
