I was helping my Daughter today, clean out her garage, has a dirt floor. She was afraid to go in it because a groundhog had burrowed in.
so I made a lot of noise so it would not come out.
after we got it cleaned out, we were standing at the doorway, I noticed the groundhog came out so I was watching it,, cool looking creature.
I guess she didnt realize it had came out.. when she looked up and saw it.. she grabbed my arm and screamed......... I just about had to change my pants
The groundhog quickly ran back into its hole so she steeped in to grab something else to haul off. (yup.. you can guess) When she bent over, I grabbed her calf and squeeled. The look on her face was priceless!!!
Stepping in a nest of water snakes...UMMMMMMM That's not good when you have a snake phobia...We were down at the creek behind my grandmothers house...me and my 2 cousins and I stepped and they were slithering all over the F'n place...OMG!!!!!!! I thought I was gonna die on the spot..I made my cousin carry me all the way back up the hill to my grandmother's house on his back!!!!!!!
Whe I first moved into this house....... was sittin here on the second night. out of the corner of my eye I saw a quick black flash.. thought it was in my mind. few seconds later I saw it again.. so I sat and watched closely. sure enough a bat came flying out of the kitchen, across the room and back into the kitchen.
cought him in a fishnet and took him outside. Illegal to kill them.

I ran in there to see what had happened, He was standing on his back legs with a bat hanging upside down on his front leg... wasn't hurting him. just scared the crap out of him... laughed so hard! after that I called my cat batman.

sxc666: Swimming the ocean, and a big chunk of seaweed rub up against me. I always think it's a shark, and walk on water back to shore.
Oo something similar happened to me once. I was doing a 'swim' (race) we do every year here.. I was about half a mile out to sea.. (we have boats around us).. I stopped to tread water for a moment.. and this huuuuuuuuuuuuuge slippery thing (no jokes lol).. forced itself between my legs and out the other side..
I was 100% SURE it was a shark!! I was CRAPPING myself!... waiting for a *CHOMP* and to be dragged under then water..
My teenage son came to visit me while I had a pet raccoon. He thought I really liked wild animals so he got me a present. I walked out of the house at about 3AM and turned on the garage light and there was a possum in a fishnet in the garage. Those things are vicious when cornered. And they are UGLY!! So I walked out there and here was this possum baring it's teeth at me. I DID CHANGE MY PANTS!!!

One time... I unfortunately had to witness a deadly car crash. I was almost involved in it, too. Long story short, the guy never had a chance, even though those of us that had stopped to try and help, did everything we could. Took me a while to be able to jump BACK in to my skin, afterwards...
A snake landing on my head. I arrived home on a sunny day and yanked open the big sliding gate, and the snake must have been tanning along the top - he landed ON my head! Took a few seconds for my brain to connect to the fright button - by that time snaky was off up the driveway - terrified out of his wits, I think.
