mbcasey: I hear San Diego, California is very beautiful
It can be, if you look at it the right way. Having lived there & left and then gone back to visit I see it more as a city that has grown too much too fast & not the hometown that I remember.

How about a city on the Monterrey Bay peninsula Denise?
I'm not sure there is a most beautiful city. They all have their allure and their highlights. They compliment and contrast each other in various ways.
The foods, the people, the art, the history, the architecture, the smells, the energies, the treasures (big and small), there's so many things that make a city beautiful, I know I couldn't choose just one.

modesta: which city is the most beautifull one in the whole Universe?
and why.
There are many beautiful cities in the world. I don't think it is possible to say one is the most beautiful because when a city is beautiful it is so in its own unique way, like a person.
One of the things that entralls me about beautiful cities is that they are a creation of humankind, and when I sometimes despair of humanity, I can look at the grandeur that has been accomplished by humans and realize that, while a lot of what humans do and have done is bad, much of human accomplishment is absolutely magnificant.
