Do you think, as people get older, their behavior changes and becomes more 'mature' or dignified because that is how they naturally feel with aging, or because it is the way you are supposed to act as you get older?????

I don't know what it is...BUT I honestly don't think it's an age thing...I have seen some older people who have no dignity at all!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe it's taking stock and learning or maybe it's just getting tired of the fight and mellowing out as we get older....for some but not all!!!!!!!!!!

does this mature or 'dignified' behavior make a person more boring???

I think you learn via life's lessons, i.e. humility, poise, patience and discretion that kind of thing.. but you can still keep your youthful spirit.. my Mum is very young at heart and can be great fun.. but she is still dignified... I really like that about older people, the calmness of life experience...

No there's maturity and being dignified and still being the person you are with a sense of humour etc and then there's being stuffy.... ...that's the boring one....

lots of times, though, people get 'stuffy' with age, like their personality completely changes...wonder what that's all about...
basic personalities don't change, people just get more comfortable in their own skin and don't feel the need to impress whatever. Basically we learn to care less and relax more in what appears to be a dignified manner yes does come with age and maturity

My mother and my dad are both in their early 60's and both are still a lot of fun....I think it depends on the generation and era that you grow older in and whether or not you have grown and learned to enjoy the changes in other generations or whether you resent them...

I don't think it's possible to generalize all older people.
Some of them do behave more mature and dignified but....
there's always the elders who are very immature and irresponsible ....
For example: I have a 60 year aunt who like to give me and my sisters marital advice and advice about men, when she herself had 2 failed marriages and hasn't been with a man in any respect for 25 years..
Well I think as you get older - you just don't let things bother you as much anymore. You have more money and experience - so you just don't care what other people do or say - you don't take it personal anymore - cuz you don't have to!

Yes, i think that's the reason my dear, that's why, otherwise, people tend to drink, have drugs to justify their bad instincts, behavior!
