Let's see...what am I most looking forward too about getting older (as if I'm not already as ancient as my kids tell me I am)....hmmmm confused

Being able to look back at your life and say, hey! Look at everything that I have been through, everything I have done, all the love I have known, all the fun I've had, all the friends I have made along the way...I've lived a full life hug

darlynda: could somebody PLEASE tell something good about getting older

Older people know that you don't sit around waiting for someone to help you decide what you are going to do with your life, you go out and live it, and in the process maybe meet someone who might fit in with your life instead.wine

Well, in the event you are not dead in 50 years, do you desire to be sitting on your porch saying "I wish I would have taken that trip"??wink

Wow Claayer...I read the part about a "Tv License"...and had to go look it up! I never knew people had to pay(except for Cable, here in the states) to watch a TV. At 59...I never heard of such... I'm still shaking my head from side to side in dis-belief. And I thought we(USA)had it bad... Thanks for your info, or I would never have known...peace

This is assuming one actually grows wiser as opposed to just being old and stupid

A. You don't give much of a damn what people think about you.

B. Hopefully you don't have screaming babies or surly teenagers living with you full-time.

C. Car insurance, always a perk. Unless you're like my dad and really shouldn't be driving.

D. No pills, iuds, implants, rings, diaphrams, etc. to worry about anymore. Rubbers for safety purposes only.

E. If you want to have ice cream for supper you can!

I'll think of more, that's just scratching the surface, or something! grin
