diogenes: That's the thing isn't it...these emotions are what give life it's zest. Love would have no meaning if we didn't love to be in love. Were there never any pain, or if it didn't hurt, there would be nothing to drive us toward something better.
Look at it this way instead....the love is worth it.
Life is all about pain. Any Mother already knows this, because life begins in pain, it is endured in pain, and if you are conscious when you die, you will probably die in some sort of pain. But love .... ....love is worth it.
On this hun we are going to have to agree to disagree, I dont think anything is worth that pain.

This mentality implies that you have to have owned a Yugo in order to appreciate a Lexus. Or you must die in order to see how good life is. Maybe drink sour milk in order to appreciate fresh.
hmm ... i think with time and age the choices we make get better if not thinner ..
As many have already mentioned with each experience of a relationship ( any kind for any length of time ) theres a lesson learnt and u if you can manage to gather yourself up and walk again .. its another journey from there ..
Soooooo i think with time we get closer to what we are and what we are really looking for in our life though i do think the innocence and naievity of love in younger times is gradually lost ...
But nevertheless i think if u keep your mind open its still possible to find love in its different forms at different steps in life ... maybe we get what we seek ..
But i do believe u cant have multiple to die for true love experiences in life. You can fall in love more than once but some are just special.

Each of the experiences you mentioned when experienced will be accompanied with an emotional response, however subtle it may be. If you drink the sour milk and enjoy it, you will probably keep on drinking it. If you hate your Yugo, you'll probably go looking for a Lexus. This is the power of our emotions. Without them experience is meaningless.
