It's horn-tootin' time!

OK, I'm rather skilled at landing small planes in most conditions, just passed the "numbers" on the centerline.

If I've done it well, you wont even feel when we touch-down.

Toot toot, of course, there were some real "rough ones" when I was a student pilot.

Really???

Whats the worst condition you've been in
whilst landing a small plane?
And if you ever get to fly 'big' ones maybe
you could let me know the name of the
airline.thumbs up

Hi soulmate I had a brain hiccup this morning when I posted what I had originally said.

What I neglected to say was that I am good at several things just not the expert.

You want the name so you can avoid it? rolling on the floor laughing Never flown anything with more than 4 seats. [950 hours, lots of aerobatics, quit counting after about 3,000 landings]

Worst conditions, for landing... hmmm, had 2 engine-out problems but the landings were the easy part.

Guess it would have to be Cresent City, California, gusting to 40 knots, almost straight down the runway. The landing had about 200 feet of roll-[not much], the climb-out was like a jet must be. The hard part was turning around safely after landing.

Have rode in a few gusty crosswind landings with one wing way down, looking out the side window for the runway.

Recieved an RC plane last year and promptly crashed it!

Thats exactly what I meantrolling on the floor laughing

When you said you could land in any condition,

I thought you might have been refering to YOUR condition.

Oh!

I take my flying quite seriously. Anyone who gets into my plane is trusting me with their life! Would never take that lightly. A good reason why I strive to be better at it with each landing.

I've scrubbed flights-[didn't go] before merely because I was a bit tired. A good pilot must be able to multitask and always be prepared to make life-or-death decisions... quickly, then act on them, quickly.

Wow! That will teach me not to toot my own horn!

I am pretty good at my job and other things...painting..fixing old furniture etc. etc..

but randomly..I can put a huge pile of coins on my elbow and catch them all...my brother and I used to challenge each others as kids.
I can tie a knot in a cherry stem using only my tongue...(yes the mind boggles)
