Hugz_n_Kissez: Well I haven't seen it too alive and kicken here either...I just happen to be lucky enough to meet a real sweetheart who is just as romantic as I am...and he's not from here!!!!!!!!
Good fer you, love!!!
And from what sxc666 says.... maybe Ozzie blokes have just what it takes??
nameit4me: It seems like most of the woman that Ive dated recently would rather hang out at a hole in the wall bar and get stupid drunk than have any kind of a real romance. If thats what I wanted it would be great for that night but what about romance? Im an old school romantic people, please renew my faith that Im not alone!
I hope to God romance is not dead! I mean what, then, would I have to look forward to? A night of candles? Yeah, I could REALLY use one of those!

I dont think romance is dead but i am very private with it,i tend to keep it between me and the lady i am with when i am with one. i know many men who think it is fine to go to a pub all day and never spend any time with they're girlfriend/wife, i dont understand that at all myself, when i love somone i want to spend as much time as i can with them.

Romance does exist. It might be camouflaged a bit these days but its out there. It's not always in the grand gestures but sometimes in the smallest of acts of loving another. It is also a way of looking at the world with hope that can be in your being even when you don't have a significant other a wonder of things that spills over.
I hope not. I love romance. I guess a lot of women have given up on it since so many men thinks it is a girl thing. I like the idea of courting and taking things slower, that way passion and love has a chance to grow. Its like the difference between fine dining and fast food.

I have talked to enough men online who are very romantic beings and I am not so sure it's a gender thing although it has been understood to be that way in the past. A grand sweeping romantic gesture is wonderful but sometimes so is something like holding hands and taking a walk. Making a joke that makes your partner blush. A pat on the hiney something small and yet so intimidate that ties you to that other person. JMO Just my opinion

Sometimes its just the little things that say I care.
