I haven't really gotten into the political arena/issues much but I feel the need to state my opinion here.
I feel the issues are what are important and will never go away, no matter who ends up being president. We should judge a candidate by how he/she plans to solve issues facing the nation, not by his/her sincerity or attempting to gauge how American he/she is.We are a sharpely divided country both politically and socially, because we have chosen to frustratingly call each other this terrible 10 letter word,"Un-American",often filling it with gunpowder by accusing one another of "aiding" terrorists through legitmate critizing of the Bush Administration's stratagy in the war on terrorism and justification for invading Iraq.
We've called each other misguided, ignorant, uncaring, cowardly, but most importantly "Un-American".
In short, calling another citizen un-american in this day takes many forms, yet always packs the same devastingand nearly always untrue charge, which only serves to seperate us with lies and imaginary barriers.

I just call one guy un-American...and he lives 10,000 miles away.
Indyfella: I just call one guy un-American ...and he lives 10,000 miles away. But your points are well taken
I feel that if We'd all Really and Truly listen to one another sometimes that We may find we really do have something in common with one another and We do All have our countries best interest in mind after all.
I thinik this mudslinging reveals the true character of those choosing to be our next leader or representative in governement issues....it shows they have no real concept or plan on the real issues or how to improve the plight of America so they go with whats left.... mudslinging.
In short this is how our choices over the pass 30 years have run for office.

This why I stay out of and don't discuss politics.

There is always a degree of truth to the mudslinging. Unfortunately, I think a lot of people get so caught up in that drama they lose sight of what the real issues are. This election has turned into nothing more than a combination blame game, popularity contest and a way in which to insult each other. I forsee 4 moe years of similar "Bush type " attcks on whoever is elected.

Bingo, once again!!! There are brain cells that exist and thrive on cs after all. Dang, I was about ready to give up.
Saying veiws on politics is like taking a dump....you feel a lot better.....you are no longer full of crap.....so you wipe your butt of the whole deal....and go back to making a living while they do what ever in hell they want.

But then there are those people that no matter how many times they take a dump they're still full of crap.
HealthyLiving: Shall I curtsy or just bow? Very well said RNG!!!! Now, if everyone could just wake up to the truth of the matter and quit pretending that it just isn't so, we could be a force strong enough to overthrow the small elite fleet!!! There is power in numbers!!! We can take our country back if all will join together in the effort and quit saying, "there's nothing we can do"!!!
UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL!!!
There really is nothing we can do at this point. I believe we are beyond redeption!!
