Personally, I do not the color of his skin has a damn thing to do with it..
He is a politician, he has "backers" he will have to answer to. I admit he has some VERY great ideas, yet ideas cost money and it has to come from someplace. Who does "government" get their money from???
rolltideroll: It is not his race that I am concerned about with him being the new president.
1)It is his Lack of political and government knowledge
2) His great plan that his supporters are praising. The end result is that the military and missil and space programs will be cut. leaving AMERICA week. He has made the statement several times during the course of the year that he plans on cutting programs taht are not needed. Some of these programs that he does not see a need for are the ones that have made america strong agaist many attacks. To think of all the families that will be with out jobs once he is finished making his cuts. Think about how unemployment is going to be on the rise because of this.
That is a point of view but you seem to be relating "need" to need for jobs in the military industry. There are other industries and American greatness is not built on the back of war...it is built on culture and a spirit of can-do. If anything, big military programmes distort the economy and generate the risk that the country will become over-dependent on those jobs to the detriment of good policy decisions.
Don't 'diss' Gilly - he could be the next Prime Minister of Great Britain! Yikes!
Just imagine if Saddam Hussein had been a CS member - he'd have been too busy answering Gilly's questions to make threatening noises to the USA!
Questions like:
'If you had the ability to make weapons of mass destruction what would your favourite weapon of mass destruction be - and which countries (in reverse order from 100 to 1) would you like to use your new toy on?'
Time will tell but he is mixed so that is good in a sense he comes from the white world as well as the black. He is a bridge and I certainly hope that he is safe from all those out there who are ignorant enough to try to harm him even this modern age. He is not part of the elite in a sense and that is more marvelous than what race he is to me although I am frankly glad that he is there for so many reasons. Yippeee. A new day dawning for us I hope if we can only see it and embrace it.
he's not a "black" president, he is a president who happens to be black, it will be a great day when as bob marley put it: "until the color of a mans (or woman's, i added that) skin is of no more significance than the color of his (her) eyes, it's a war!
