I've had similar feelings reading through some threads and their posts.
Have seen disheartening, cruel comments.
Where I thought there could be hope for all, I wonder if some types are throwaways.
Adults, I thought they were, but sadly mistaken.

Mark...I like you and I respect all those who truly walk in their faith...but I have no respect for those who don't....and call themselves Christians one minute and are spewing hatred...maliciousness and venom all over the place the next....hate doesn't just come in the form of religion...it comes in many forms on CS...and from some of the most unlikely of sources.....I have been in it's scope for many months...and have come to the conclusion that it will not effect my personal life in any way....I will not let sick minds interfere with my happiness even minutely....and that no matter what I will still be me and do the things I like to do in the forums...even if it means skirting around and looking through those individuals who choose to hate me for their own sick reasons....as if they don't exist....because 0 is the amount of time I have decided to waste on them anymore!!!!!

Mark...I enjoy reading your threads.

You are very eloquent the way you describe your thoughts and feelings.

I know you are passionate about who you are and what you believe. Never let anyone alter your core beliefs and values. I respect you very much and believe you are a terrific man.

I do not participate in threads where there is strong controversy. Not that I am afraid to, but I find such threads break down from any high minded debate pretty fast. I think it is human nature...protecting something you believe in with such vigor at any cost. I am not above or below others who participate in such forums. I just have other reasons why I am here at CS.

I come here mainly to have fun. I even dabble in "controversial" threads with jabbing elbows and a quick exit all done with a sense of humor. These forums are for everyone no matter what beliefs you posess.

I hope you still participate in the forums Mark. You offer such different ways to look at things in life...you are a joy to read and have a discussion. I even hope you still participate in the threads you are talking about. Maybe with an overview of not trying to change minds, but telling where your point of view is and how you arrived there.

You are a great friend Mark. Thank you for being there for me....

Ken you are a true inspiration to me as well, a very fine man worthy of every praise that comes to you in any way.
I have no intention of refraining from posting in the forums, all threads inclusive. I am merely at a point where no matter the response from a handful of persons here I will not respond to them any more. I am not a fish that can take this poisoned bait any longer. There are always going to be those who try to twist your life around for their own pleasure. Their hurts may be the only ones they can feel and they refuse to cheapen them by allowing anyone else to have any part of that. They do not share well, and rather are quite demanding that we as a whole accept that they and they alone know the truth. They are allowed their truths and I give them whatever freedom they desire in this.
My hand is always there to lift the downtrodden who look up for any sort of help but never again for those who seek to lift themselves at the expense of others.
I am not ceding victory to them or defeat to myself, just merely tired of the games that will never amount to anything but confusion. I am who I am and I have fought long and hard to be that person. They have founght to remain who they are. Nothing will change that for either side. I henceforth will choose to refrain from responding to a select few people here that deem it worth their efforts to make me feel less than I am or that ply their trade in defeatism to lull the masses of readers (visible or not) to their sad point of view. Not to belittle their point of view by calling it sad but that is how it attempts to make me feel. I harbour no ill to anyone and will not be baited to defend myself any longer. I need no defense and seek to harm no one so I am comfortable in that.
I returned to CS for the forums and here I will remain for the foreseeable future. Through thick and thin, because of the many voices of reason and passion, joy and curiosity that lie here, not for those who already have everything in life pre-planned for themselves and others.
Thanks for being such a good friend Ken, you are one of the reasons I came back here.

I also enjoy reading your threads Barren. even though I don't post a lot in them.
But I have reported the abusers many times and will continue to do so.

Is such a shame that some have nothing better to do than come into certain threads just to fight and mouth off.

Is a big place and plenty of room for others to post wherever and whatever they want without their search and destroy missions.

Just too difficult to understand I guess that they DON'T have to read all threads.. don't like this topic.. go find one that you do.

So tough I guess.
No one is forcing them to read the thread. nothing being forced down their throats as they are trying to do to others.
