My husband would be reading the morning newspaper, the cat reading with him. Some mornings I would come out of my bed still a bit groggy. I would snuggle up and crawl on his lap, just for a few minutes. He would say: "Oh Jenny you will never grow up" "Promise me honey, promise me I won't?"
I would do it today but I need a lap lol I can be old yet for a looooong time. Right now, is simply NOT the time. I reckon when getting around 98 I ought to slowly get it. Not prominsing though, not promising a thing. There have been several women in Holland that still did all their own huiskeeping etc. when 108. Now is THAT a plan or isn't?
Absolutely...I still love to play in puddles and piles of leaves, and get silly with my friends or my sons. I'll dance in the middle of Wal*Mart...I don't care who's watching. (I don't do it when I have my sons with me anymore since it now embarrasses them. Teenagers.)
CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES COME ON!!!!! my fav. thing is to sleigh ride down the biggest hill behind my house, i have never made it down without rolling or bouncing off at some point. it's usually once, i don't like the trike back up my kids laugh soooo hard at me(secretly it feels like someone beat me with a hammer all over my body after hitting the tree stumps and rocks)

Good for you Drui so someday when I am bored I will knock on your door to see if you can come out and play. I am the oldest, my youngest sister is 12 years younger. It may well be the other way around as they all seem to be older than I am, in spirit that is.
Good for you Jenny key is to never lose the childlike wonder at life. That is part of joy the type of joy that you can't express. Running to the playground being a grown woman on a swing, jumping in muddle puddles, running through sprinklers, throwing snowballs or making snow men. Smelling the flowers in Spring, sipping hot chocolate with lots of whip cream lol. Coloring in coloring books. When we lose that joy we lose part of our souls.

That is the spirit Sassy your kids will remember and remind you some day you will see.
Until just a few years ago I used the huge waterslides close to home. One of my younger sisters came over and told me if you go in that Jenny I will pay as It will be worth seeing this. Of course she had to pay. The only reason I no longer go is because they closed it. Bummer!

Hi Dawn. One day at Walmart, now about a year ago. My then boyfriend stood in line at Wal-Mart while I still did some shopping. When I was done I walked up to him and said; "Hello handsome, are you here all by yourself?" The woman in front of him jerked her head back so fast I thought she did permanent damage. I smiled sweetly at her and she then looked at him he was smilling too. He loved it.

One man asked me just recently what I would do if we drove around somewhere, music was playing and he would stop the car at a parking lot would I dance with him and not care what people thought? I told him you bet your bottom dollar I would love it. That falls more under spontenanious I think ah who cares?
As a bumper sticker I qnce had on my car said,"I may be getting older but I refuse to grow up".It's the truth, then where would the fun be in living? nana nanana

I remember when three of us gals went shopping all three wearing different shoes and colour. Trying to keep a straight face and ignoring the staring and pointing. Long after; Jenny do you remember? Yes lol I remember.

Claayer: hahah yeah Im a big kid most of the time..
In my job.. I am super efficient.. and professional.. (MOST of the time LOL)
But the rest of the time I'm a little more 'wayward'
Someone said to me recently that I hadnt quite grown up.. ahaha..I think it was when I licked his glassess.. stood on his toes (gentley) ..
and poked my tongue up his left nostril..
We got to be a little nuts to make it in this nutty world. Do something out of the odenairy. Standing on his toes reminded me Claayer. When dancing and a guy stood on my toes I would pipe up; "I see your not affraid of hights" It would usually break the ice and him relax.

oops....sorry. Guess this thread was meant just for women!!
This thread is by no means just for women we all need the kid to live on in us. The joy of living, the sparkle in our eyes the reaching out to others. The adult part of us at times wants to pull back from others its the child that keeps reaching out for love and connection.
