Not again. I have the morning news on. A massive terror attack in Mumbai.

But it is the tail end of the story.

Anyone know details? I sit here shaking my head.

Just heard 78 people have been killed.

Just so sad crying

So far....

Coordinated attacks sweeping through India's financial capital Mumbai have left at least 78 dead and scores injured. Gunmen targeted luxury hotels and tourist landmarks, seizing hostages in violence that left the head of Mumbai's anti-terror operations dead

They were targeting Americans and Britons. According to AP news this isn't the first time this town has been targeted back in 2007 187 people lost their lives.

How senseless.

I just heard about the hostages as the story ended.

How terrifying for everyone there. And for people who have friends and loved ones.

When I tuned in they were interviewing an Australian woman who was in Mumbai for her upcoming wedding in 4 days time. They were now in a French restaurant in lock down.

sigh doh

I would love to see an end to terrorism, too.

And for true peace across the globe. After all, the Berlin Wall came down. Who could have imagined that?

Maybe we could all focus on this happening.

When guns are so easily available we will always have terrorism of some kind.

With respect what will they use for these public executions ... guns.
I personally have witnessed a bombing and terror attack ... the answer is not an eye for an eye and the use of guns and bombs well look at the world we live in.

There would be terrorism without guns. I am sorry that you have been exposed to those horrors. People use their religious beliefs as a reason to exterminate others. That is why I am no longer relgious.handshake hug

There are many reasons why people kill one another and religion is one. I have been to the USA and was utterly gobsmacked to be confronted in what I thought was a camping store and see the counters off guns and knives off all kinds so easily purchased.... gun law in Europe has been tightened and security in EU Int airports is at it's highest ever and the same needs to happen in the US.

Yeah it is part of our Constitution the right to bear arms also many people hunt in this country. Not usually a lot of terrorists running around US shooting others up sometimes psychotic people will utilize weapons but really if someone wants to kill others then will be creative and kill others without guns and knives. I personally have an aversion to them I don't like the idea of killing.
So Tamarin what did you like about my country?
Are you Croatian also like PV?

I'm kinda trying to be creative here, as to finding a solution to bringing an end to terrorism

Perhaps geneticists could study the brains of terrorists, and do lots of bloo tests.

Perhaps, just perhaps,

they could find some sort of defective mutant gene, some missing protein molecule.

Even a vaccine against terrorism.applause

Who knows? dunno

Any scientists on CS???

I have strong US connections but I am also a European... I have spent extended time in the USA. I do understand US gun laws but they are to readily available in the US and hence can be shipped to other parts of the world...... What do I like about your country is that you can be red, yellow, pink with green spots in most parts of the US and be accepeted and make something of yourself but I have also seen the divided neighbourhoods and the narrow mindedness and snobs. Also those with no manners what so ever. What do I like about Europe we are all one big area and we now carry the same passports that allows us to work and live through out Europe and be one accepted and extended family working together for a better world.

If I am prefectly truthful and sound very shallow things are so cheap in your country.... Not the people the items for sale!!!
