The first thing that needs to be answered is "of what use is it" to bring it back. The answer, "because we can" just isn´t good enough... nor is "so we can study it".

No I don't believe that they should be doing all this 'just because technology now permits it', because we can, because 'they' are...or whatever other reason there is...but...

If any one remembers the movie Battle For The Planet Of The Apes, just put in massed produced Neanderthals instead of the apes and chimps....
Bringing back the Neanderthals could solve many domestic problems for certain countries, especially those prone to high influxes of illegal immigrants pouring over the border looking for jobs. There won't be any menial jobs left as the newly domesticated Neanderthals would have them all, from maids, to gardeners, to field workers, to burger slingers. Anyone could own one or a few! Who in their right mind would dare fight for any 'rights' for Neanderthals!? There would be no National Advancement for Neanderthals, no civil rights movements....mass clonings of Neanderthals would solve everything, hell, if you got bored with yours, use it target practice and no schools would be needed for them!

Btw, JB, here we keep bringing over exotic species of bugs to kill other bugs, and then we have nothing to take care of the new ones, so they become real pests. I agree, that also needs to stop.
