The first time was '94 and I was behind a bar (oscar wilde) Paris..It was a Friday evening and there was a thunder storm and two girls walked in like drowned rats..something clicked with one of them...She returned the following night looking amazing, a few years she gave me two fantastic kids..unfortunalty the fairy story didn't have a happy ending...c'est la vie.........
As for the second..she is someting else, I'm mean she's cookin', just her look would melt a snow man in the North Pole.......

I met my first love at the cinema. Boys from my boarding school met up with their sisters and sisters' friends who were in a convent school. It was in Malta in 1972. There was a fairly large community of Yugoslavs working in Libya, who sent their kids to school in Malta. She was one of these kids. Was it love at first sight? Yes, I believe it was love at first sight for both of us........ her eyes were like laughing, dancing liquid gold and we both just knew that we were meant for each other!

Very true, but when you are young and realy believe that you are in love and it's for the first time it also transcends lust because it is so pure and innocent (at least at first!).
Some of could spend the rest of our lives trying to regain that wonderful, invincible, totally irrational feeling!

Yeah...I was 9 years old, I walked around the corner at school, saw a beautiful lil' girl on the swings, her long hair shining in the sunlight, and I felt a physical thud inside my chest...either it was love or I had suffered a minor heart attack at a very young age...

She still can make me loose my tounge, when I catch her profile shadowing the sun through the window, or when she looks at me, thoughtful before she replies to something I said.

Awww ..... I was also 9 ... and there was this realy realy cool jewel of a guy who lived in my neighborhood .... I had 5 girls living next door, and 7 boys living across the road, and we`d play these street games out in the street after school - Rounders (smashing house windows with the ball), Tennis (ditto the house windows), Cricket (ditto the house windows). My house had triangle lead-light windows so they just got sort of indented here and there. I only played because I was hoping this guy would come and join in.......
... But he was too cool to play our games - he just lolled around, with his black greasy hair hanging in his eyes and a cigarette dangling on his lip, and whenever he was draped over a gate pillar I always missed the ball and got cursed.
So .... one day we played a new game ...... Forget the name of it .... where the herd of kids line up and one goes to the other side to face the onslaught of the herd and whoever that one catches joins their side until one side is depleted, remember it? ....... So, ya wanna know how my love affair of the mind came to a sad and tragic ending...? Well this guy decides to join in, finally! And so I manage to grab him during the onslaught .... but guess WHERE I grabbed him?! I was mortified!!! Went inside for "a glass of water" and never ventured out of my house again for the next few years till he grew up and moved away. Or I grew up and moved away. Whichever came first - my mind became a blank.
... A few years later I fell in love with a Mustang whose driver was quite nice too ...... But I always preferred the BMW motorbike riders, or the AJS`s, Nortons were okay, and BSA`s too. Then I realy grew up and bought my own Alfa Sprint Velocé coupe - I realy loved that car!

I have never been totally convinced of love at first site, but agree that there can be a connection at first site.

The first girl I ever liked, at the age of 4 (and she was at least a year older) is now a grandmother and has MS and is allergic to just about everything and has been trapped in her own house for several years now............... that's what her mother told me on the telephone just the other day - I rang her to tell her how my mother is......... this English lady, a Dutch lady and my mum have been great friends since they first met in Uganda in the early 1950's!
