Here from CS, in life...

What is your most vivid memory from this year?

in 2008, I managed to get myself banned from CS.

I moved back to Austria. For the second time.

My daughter passed her exams.

I met a man.

I was 40 years old.

Met an a incredible woman on CS, lost her for a while, won her back for a while, but then we went finally our separate ways. There were highs and lows, but it was so worth it.

My daughter was able to swim the full width of the local pool and we planted snow drops and daffodils together.

In the local pub my dance partner and I got up on the empty dance floor and swing danced our way through Frank Sinatra's Fly me to the Moon in front of a huge crowd (scary!). We did it perfect.

I finally built and moved into my own house and started to get back a sense of having a home again.

Here's to 2009 !

I started my 2008 by visiting my eldest daughter in Paris for a week...FANTASTIC

Enjoyed meeting up c.s. members at get-togethers with a special guest of honour SMOKY.

One of my daughters got promoted at her office job.
Another daughter won music awards with her indie/alternative music. The third one changed her job to a better law/firm.
My family dog DIXIE passed away.

Hope to end this year 2008 on a good note by being with friends.

Wish you all good health and energy for a better 2009.

Every year is great for me, even with trials and tribulations. I saw it Weddie, your post.

Tomorrow is a new year, I do not place too much on that, I see it as another day and I try to lead my life in that each morning I wake up, it is going to be a good one.

Vivid memories of this year passing....

In February I went to Malta (my first time) and got to meet quite a few of the CS folk - That was realy wonderful!

I dont think anything else of astounding proportions happened ...confused .... Life just flows along like a river ....

..... unless mentioning that we finally got the new kitchen in place in this old house ......(last Christmas the kitchen was bare of everything - we even had a housefull of guests for the Day - and washed dishes in the plastic toy boxes on a camping table) .... now we boast a dishwasher, countertops, cupboards, extractors, new tiles, and kitchen completely rewired & lots of plug points.

This Christmas/New Year we got the entire back garden dug up for laying new electricity cables to the house, and plug points to garden areas.... And new water pipes, also to garden areas.

I also did my first German language course - and came TOP of the class - 96%! and enrolled for the next course in 2009.

Got the grandkids fully trained - so now I`m not a Nanny anymore!

My mother died.

Met many more good friends here in Suisse.

And generally - Life is Good ... and gonna get better in 2009!

Nice thread Sommer - makes one do some thinking!cheers

2008 - I bought and decorate a very nice house in Bucharest and I met a smarter than me man.
Lots of unreached objectives, I am a very frustrated person because of this.

Smoky, I didn´t know your mum had died. So sorry, and belated condolences. Congrats too on your success in the German course!

As for me, well I spent a memorable year in Russia, learned a lot about the culture and met some wonderful people.

I padded out my cv with two new skills, book reviewing and examiner for Cambridge.

Moved house.

Lost a little weight, unintentionally.

Stopped worrying about my daughter who finally seems to have met a good man.

Got ripped off by my lawyer and ex husband over our joint assets.

A year older, wiser and happier.

Life is good.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!!

Time for reflection, I often go like this at this time on New Years Eve.

Lokking back, at the last 12 months, looking forward to the next.

I do not wonder what it will bring.
