I personally never leave my daughter's sight or hang up the phone without an "I love you!" to her.
The last time I spoke to my aunt, it wasn't on good terms... next thing I knew, she passed away & we never made up. That's a hard thing to live with.
I try to tell all my loved ones I love them before I leave them.

Yesterday, a local 16yo was killed on her way home from school when her car hit a slick spot on the road. Such a tragedy to see a young life so full of potential taken so violently.
As a side note, always wear your seatbelt!! This girl didn't and it could've saved her life.

I can imagine you had an exceptionally rough night in the ER last night.
Even though my kids are grown & don't live with me, when I send notes I make sure to include that I'm proud of them & love them.
Hang in there & regroup for your next shift.
