Interesting comments, and those that I entirely agree with. I think it could be any one of the reasons you have stated. Me, I am very suspicious if I get a young man contact me...I always think there is an ulterior motive...I think this is one of our mature safety nets. What we have already experienced gives us, (sometimes), protection.
I also know people married with a big age gap and they are perfectly happy so......

Yes I do believe that there are genuine young men out there who do not have ulterior motives. I have had a 3 year relationship with a younger man (11 years) and he was perfectly happy to grow old with me and not have children. It did not work but that was not because of the age gap. And before I get any comments..I have also been married for 24 years with a man 9 years older than me
I think we just need to pick out the right ones...
