My lupus has come out of remission and is real bad this
time. I am in so much pain it is taking me forever to
type on the threads. I also cannot get warm. I have on
very warm gloves and 3 pairs of socks and my fingers and
toes are still blue. I usually try clearing my mind and
meditating and that works sometimes. But now dammit I had
to go to more medication and I hate that. Do any of you
out there in this vast dating circle suffer from these
types of deseases and if so how do you cope?

Also have been talking to a man from the other site for quite
sometime now. We were going to meet so I decided it was time
to tell him about the lupus. He dropped me like a hot potato.
But when he told me he suffered from erectile dysfunction I
told him not to worry about it. If we decided we were right
for each other and moved in together I would help him as
much as I could. Oh well his loss. At least I have many
friends he will stay loyal even in these bad times.

My sister has lupus, but has been in remission for quite a few years now. She still suffers from arthritis though. And the doctors had thought she may not be able to get pregnant. But she is now the proud momma of 3 kids. When she was little, she was diagnosed with rheumatic fever, which I understand was misdiagnosed instead of lupus.

My co-worker has lupus & can't go out in the sun for long periods of time, is always cold, gets odd skin rashes, etc.

I feel for you, hon. My thoughts go out to you. hug

Sassy, my dear friend, my heart goes out to you. hug bouquet

Try things like reflexology. It helps with the pain, and might help with the circulation. Also, have you tried acupuncture or acupressure? Both of those can help immensely with long term medical conditions. It's even getting documented now by medical science. Anything is worth a try, hon. hug I'll send positive energy your way, my friend. And yes...his loss.

T/Y all so much for your kind words and thoughts. It is very
true, if out in the sun too long it affects your skin.
I have some rashes on my face and back now.

I have done some reflexology Dru but have to be so careful.
Have not tried acupuncture, but also have to check everytime
I try new things to make sure my insurance will cover it.
Before I go to bed I will go sit in the shower with very
hot water for about 45 minutes.

Thanks all for your support. I guess I was so upset last
night trying to deal with everything that I forgot to
mention that I also have MS. Was diagnosed with that in
my 20's, had 3 children and gave birth to 2 more. I am a
fighter, just once in awhile I get brought down. We have
a support group right here that gets together monthly for
the MS and I do on line support for lupus. I got in almost
4 hours of rest last night so that helped. Once again thanks
to my dear CS family. You have been there for my support
and it is greatly appreciated. hug teddybear bouquet

EFT is worth checking out Sassy - its like acupuncture but without the needles and you can easily learn to do it yourself - heres a good link;
