Never..but I look at relationships as a period of time either long or short..I never have pre-conceived expectations...about them being a general time to get to know anyother human being, decide if it is what i want in my life, sometimes be the role of both teacher and studet...people come into our lives sometimes briefly..sometimes for a longer stay...but I have been given alot from both.
My tent flap is always open..I often miss the familiar rustle of the bed sheets next to me when I am alone, the sound of someone breathing when I am sleeping...
I think it is a matter of your initial comfortability with yourself..and remembering..relationships with people as friends, lovers, acquaintances are always about what you bring to it rather than what you need..
If you NEED someone..you should not be there.

The love of my life died of cancer after 34 years of very happy marriage. I met a lady 4 years later and fell in love again. It seemed good and I was at piece with my memories until she started to attack them. That I couldn't take - it seemed as though she wanted to destroy half of my very soul. Yes the pain was physical - the docters called it a "stress induced peptic ulcer". The emotional pain when my wife died was worth it for all the good memories. The pain the second time was not worth it. Now I know I must live with just my memories. My view is that we should all try to find true love but be wary of replacing that love a second time.

I've had my heart broken more times then I can count.The only thing to do is suck it up and move on. and never give her the satisfaction of seeing you in pain.cause an unfaithful woman will love that...

Yes I have been twice first wasnt so bad because it was a high school sweetheart, went to military to get over her, Now that i am older i was married for 15 years i raised her 3 kids from the time the oldest one was just turning 5 he is now 21 years old. i realized when we got separated i needed to find myself again so i took almost a year and a half off of dating to find myself that would be the best thing to do. take a year off from even dating women and try to find new or even old hobbies you used to do. you will find yourself very complete and ready to date again.
