RobbieM: Well, Ireland and rain go together hand in hand.

Remember. pack a coat for your trip

So I was told. I lugged a woollen coat which I bought especially, all the way from Australia, through to Kuala Lumpur, Amsterdam, Florence, and Dublin airports, and on the eurotrains, and then all the way back to Australia, all because I needed it for Ireland. Well, I used it only once, and frankly, could have done without it even then. The sun shone just about the whole 6 days I was there last September! confused laugh

Ireland is beautiful; few people, beautiful scenery, much improved public transport. Roads can be a bit worrying though!

Its expensive though, more expensive than the UK.mumbling

And if they pour you a pint of Guinness with one of those stupid shamrocks on it, give the barman a beer shampoo...doh laugh

littlelostone: WTF

Why have you included my quote above? What associations are you trying to concoct??? My comment was in response to someone's post about participating in a a cemetery tour in the middle of the night, or some such thing.

Are you all there? Oops, no you're not. It seems you have disappeared.roll eyes

It's awesome yes. My favourite place in Ireland is Glendalough? but there are so many other stunning area's such as the Dingle Peninsular, Ring of Kerry, Galway Bay & of course Dublin which for a night out is hard to beat. thumbs up

The pictures I've seen show it's brillant beauty. The people I've met from Ireland are lovely.

If I was a traveler, it would be a place I'd want to visit!

very happy

Yes , you are quite right. There are one or two signs in Dublin saying f--- off home to the English but it's from a tiny minority of people as i've always been made welcome thumbs up

I've never been there. In some ways the place sounds beautiful and fun. In other ways it sounds bleak.

Yep, I have been to Ireland as a language student,
for work and as a tourist.

The parts outside of Dublin are great for holidays.

Dublin is/was great for graduates seeking foreign work experience.

And Cork is Cool for Language Students

The pub atmosphere in Cork is better than in Dublin laugh beer

For Wiskey tasting I would go to Midleton or Bushmills wave

The distillery in Dublin is not really worth a visit.
