vonney: Lol

Grandparents dont count either hun.

If they werent born here they werent Irish.

Okay, in that sense you are right. I have double citizenship, but I am only Swedish on paper...always Californian/American.

But the redheads I dated, their genetic make up was Irish...

Now what can you possible come back with now?

I give you genetics as far back as the parent maybe grandparent at a push but a person is the nationality of the Country they are born in. People can adopt another nationality by choice but are foremost the nationality of there birth Country.

lusciousmile: This is threatening my love life, Ven.

Do you realise I can't meet someone on CS and decide to pop in and have a little visit? The embassy needs sufficient proof of how we know each other, and a dating site would not only have me imprisoned, but also get me sent back to the 'village'. A strange one at that!

Ever thought there might be a CS'er who is the director of Irish Department of Immigration?dunno

Fair enough.

But anybody can be American. Did you know that? Many foreigners who came to America, say they are American first? Kinda cool in my book.

My parents claim that!
