its quite simple during the time beatte played premier of qld howard pissed in the pockets of american republican part and the peoples assets were been flogged off by costello, and interests rate dropped from 27% back down to 3% politicians decided to fund (particularly qld's) besides tourism, fear (defence) fund the economy in opening the door to migration by people with a buck.
Thus southern Queensland on grand scale increased house approvals on a grand scale, built roads, bridges, tunnels, while like mushrooms new housing estates took away the best food producing farmland and australia extra ten million aussies appeared waving bits of paper like pome tony abbott claim to be you-bute aussies.

What can you do, stay overseas, country will happily get by without you

When I was up in the Gulf recently sitting in a pub minding my own business, a couple of tourists came in. They kept on about the ...
...majestic colours of the sand..just like back home in Espanol.
...the beautiful calm waters..just like back home in Espanol.
...in Espanol we would 'ave developed this beautiful country for tourists to spend so much money.
...in Espanol for the Brits to pay exorbitant prices for homes.

They asked about sharks "We heard so much about sharks being a problem in Australia. Big concern. Mucho, mucho problem"

"No probs around here, mate. The crocs ate them all."

Obscuritan: because you don't write with a Spanish accent.

How do you write with a spanish accent? confused

To reply to the thread: One should think about the psychological aspects of immigration, there are so many aspects to it and nowadays is even considered a form of terrorism.

The terrorists are succeeding in creating a divide in the host population. To be brutally honest i'm looking at them with a different eye now. My fear and mistrust had been exacerbated perhaps by media.

A native English speaker will notice certain words, phrases and usage that might seem a little out of place. It might be due to sloppy writing, as many locals have a habit of doing, or it might be due to not being as familiar with the language as a native speaker. But pinpointing exactly which language is spoken by the writer as their first language can be difficult. So you can't really tell if the accent is Spanish, but it might be possible to spot the difference between say a Germanic language and a Romance language.
As for your accent? Don't know, maybe American?

Really thoughts on starting the conflict that leads to your concerns was a "very emotional" one for the government too, you poor dear
Australia had not been at war since the last combat troops withdrew from Vietnam in December 1971, but a war came along on Hawke’s watch.
In August 1990, Iraq invaded Kuwait and Australia joined the US-led international coalition.
Hawke remembers it as an emotional time for Labor which had vigorously opposed involvement in Vietnam.
“There is no doubt the first Gulf War was absolutely justified,” he said.

Islam was not the problem but fanaticism, whether it be fanatics acting in the name of Islam, Judaism or Christianity, he said, and argued that the invasion of Iraq by George W Bush would not have occurred without the influence of the Christian right in the United States.

The decision for Australia to become involved in the first war against Saddam Hussein – after he led an Iraqi invasion of Kuwait – was a "very emotional" one for the government, in the caucus and the cabinet, Mr Hawke said crying poor bob

"[President Bush] said Canada was not coming on board. Brian Mulroney, who was the prime minister of Canada, said he wasn't coming aboard because they had such big wheat markets [in Iraq]. I said 'George you leave Mulroney to me'. And I rang Brian – with whom I had very good relations … he had been a marvellous supporter of me in my leading the fight against apartheid within the Commonwealth heads of Government.

"We were good mates. I said, 'Hey Brian, what's this crap I hear from George that you're not coming aboard in regard to getting Saddam out of Iraq because of your wheat trade'?

"I said 'we've got a bloody big wheat trade too, but we are in'.

"He said 'OK Bob, we are in too'.

"So George was very pleased about that."
