The first one was the best. Pretty close to the book. After that it was downhill. I think it was the 3rd movie that had the pretty Asian girl with American accept but faked having broken English, plus some very bad acting!

shows how the awful conditions the Burmese lived under while the world sat back once again and watched if only there was a real life Rambo out there at the time. anyways powerful movie quite gritty most the time so not for everyone id give it a strong eight outa ten.

This came out when I was at school around 15yo, I remember a bunch of us tried to fake looking 18yo so we could see it at the cinema....Me and two Girls made it in,,,But luckily we decided to back out and asked for a refund...So I didnt see the film until I was 18yo at Nottingham.....This film affected me for many weeks/months after seeing it......I remember I had never had a rememberable Nightmare until I saw this...Dosent bother me now days but some scenes still give me the chills LOL As far as mind playing Horror this is, or one of or the best ever, absolutely brilliant

I will never understand the fuzz about it at all. Very boring and nothing interesting really. Unless you never heard or had SM I guess. Actores where terrible by the way...and the ending so damn stupid..bothered me that I waisted the time watching it.

Chronology so wrong that it puts the movie into below average for me. For instance - spoiler alert - how could he kill Ottoman Empire's king Fatih the conqueror in 1451 as he is in actual history to conquer Istanbul in 1453 and die in 1479? And accents of Turkish janissaries, oh my, please hire some Turkish people to do the bits before you attend to do some movies like that.
