"Ancient Time"

I really never did see a time

when my feet
were placed upon your mind

They seem to rise
go on their journey

I tried to hold it
all at once

didnt work

just stumbled
with one knee to the ground

lifting trying to halt that
ache

expelling all fears

washing away the tears

Waking the caverns of my soul

then in silence
I waited to pay my toll

The wake you ask?

tis' the wake I look

at times
to only gather
and know

what was left behind?

tilling toils of the mind

What we reap

We also sow

Reflection is good SS...it hurts sometimes, and your words are true because it means looking into our soul.
But we came through a wiser more astute person...or human being...well written, making one think... deeply.....Niah.

Hi, sophiasummer,
just stumbled with one knee to the ground is a position in which we all find ourselves from time to time. I am intrigued by the flipped truth of What we reap We also sow. With the power of the tiller in our hands, may we gather and know wisdom to sow only what we want to reap in this garden of life.

SS, ancient time or in the now, you pose challenging thoughts to us and as GNJ says the flip of reap/sow always adds to the balancing on the fulcrum. ;-)
