---- IMAGE REMOVED because photobucket.com no longer allows embedded images ----What if there was a lost and forgotten text One that tells a differant story of Judas Iscariot What if of the twelve deciples he was Jesus closest friend The one He told the secrets to of His Father and heaven The things that the other elevens hearts could never comprehend What if the betrayal of Christ wasnt designed by Him In this lost book Judas was given the followed star He said you will mourne for a time as others will watch you fall But was this left out of the bible due to the heresy To call this man a saint who had to fulfill a prophecy For thirty pieces of silver He was betrayed to man so that He would die Scripture would be fulfilled released from flesh He gave His life Hello Rabbi and he gave The Son of Man a silent kiss He said do what you came to do I will rise again after the crucifix Tell me what do you think implausible or is it possible That this divine plan was established so that we all could live Without this beautiful betrayel and ultimate sacrifice Than the day that I was born would certainly be the day I died And I would never of known Him and what love is to be alive So He stretched His hands out to the world and He gave His life for mine
It is an interesting thought...not something I had ever considered...elo...

An interesting take on the story of Judas fjames..But God's word being what it is (God's word(, I believe God made sure everything pertaining to salvation would be delivered to us, and to have books floating around supposedly from original disciples, such as the hundreds of extra biblical writings that have surfaced through the centries would make God appear slack in his promise in giving us all things pertaing to life and salvation. Judas was just a plain thief and quite simply didn't believe in Jesus as the scripture reveals. The fact that Judas 'kiss of betrayal' was known before his birth doesn't get him off from judgement and all attempts to humanize and reason away his action will not deter the fact that he had free will. Hollywood has painted Judas in all kinds of light, most times as simply a misunderstood person who meant well but somehow got it all wrong. Hollywood has never portrayed the bible stories in an accurate light. Judas, like Peter could have asked Christ for forgiveness and he would have recieved it..but he didn't. The rest is history.
I agree Cafe I am one firm on the bible. There are plenty of lost text just looked at this as a what if scenerio. I know Gods will would of been done as it was but just a thought stimulator.Glad you stopped and read I was curious on what your take would be

Goodmorning fjames,
I will have to agree with you. As you know this is a subject I know and love. When Jesus said "it is finished"..he meant what he had come here to do. And YES judas had to do his part to fulfill prophecy It was a wonderful sacrifice indeed, but also the man in him (jesus)while in the garden asked his father if there was a way to not have to go through this. We are lucky it is in the past for if our Messiah were one of our friends..perhaps we would have trouble believing..and betray him as well.
Nice to see you also..and you also larry, I wanted to say to cafe..that Peter also betrayed Jesus..and right up to the time he did it..he said he would never do it, but he DID..and three times at that!! so,yes I believe like james..he was destined to turn Jesus over peter was jesus favorite disciple..he was even warned that he would deny him..and yet did t anyway. And yes it is as james has said..there were many other writings that were never chosen to make it in the bible..I watch alot of the history channel
Thanx again for posting this james, and may God give you peace ..JG..

I too would like to commend the author of this very creative, thought provoking poem for a very well written piece!!! The content of the poem is certainly up for good argument and the beauty of our free will is that we have the blessed privilege to argue (peaceably!) :-) Cafe brings good points to the table, as his points are indeed from the Word of God, but Jerseygirl also brings forth credible points as to Peter's 3 denials of Christ prior to Christ's crucifixion. Judas was in fact referred to as being "The son of perdition" - and "Woe to him by whose hands the Son of man is betrayed!" In my own humble opinion, I, like Cafe, believe that Judas is in fact a lost soul according to the teaching of God's word, as the prophecy of his horrible death was accurately fulfilled. Peter, on the other hand, has been shown to be one of a broken and contrite spirit in respect to his denial of Christ - which, by the way, was for 'self' preservation at a time of SERIOUS persecution upon those willing to identify themselves as believers in Jesus as their Messiah. He had no purpose whatsoever in his denial, of 'betraying' Christ.... only an interest in NOT suffering the consequences of identifying himself with him. Just 'MY' 2 cents worth on the topic.
I LOVE IT when people are willing to discuss the most important topic to mankind.... GOD and His merciful gift toward mankind through the sacrificial gift of His only begotten Son. P.T.L. all ye His children!!!
