Swirling up into the sky, escaping from the abyss of the alibis. Memories inprisoned by walls of stone. Words sprouting as if cast out of devils home. Years and years claimed its ground. Roots reaching to claim their destiny. Through territory of times that are gone. Traveling sometimes entwined sometimes alone. Standing unshook while winds beat it with their souls. Summer comes with colors green covering bare limbs. Oak tree standing proud facing morning sun. Thanks to wind for leaves and nuts that came undone. Little oak growing by its side. Destiny. The rains cried!!!

About this poem:
The road in life is not always full of sunshine and happiness but it is our journey to our destiny.
Awww thanks swade. I don't know about it being pretty but it sure was fun to write. One of those poems that had been living in me for a few days. Wanting to get out.
Thank you redex I have no idea why but for some reason this poem is special to me. I could break down every sentence and tell you what it meant to me. They all meant something but yet the thoughts behind them flowed together
Thank you poetnumber1 for reading and commenting on my poem. I almost had forgotten about it. Then I read a poem this morning that reminded we need the rain to grow. So I looked to reread this one. I sure am slow at thank yous for comments but I really am glad for the comments I get

Happy,I like this poem...it reminds me that still haven't found my destiny...I wonder if there is one for me..."Roots reaching to claim their destiny" could it be me?...who knows.
