When you've mused upon an imaginary crop of fertile prosaic locution, but your drought burdened brain just won't grow it... ....go find the poet!
When you embark upon a thinker's boat going in the wrong direction, and the opposing current just won't let you row it... ....go find the poet!
When searching for the perfect word or phrase to complete a thought, and writer's block insists you just don't know it... ....go find the poet!
When trying to impress a potential date with a well rehearsed pitch, but your lack of creativity just won't throw it... ....go find the poet!
When for hours you practice with a mirror a notably good speech, but 'something's' missing that's sure to blow it... ....go find the poet!
When hearing something so very beautiful you're left standing in AWE, then begin to wonder, to whom do you owe it? ....go find the poet!
PROSAIC: Belonging to or characteristic of prose as distinguished from poetry. LOCUTION: A verbal expression or phrase - manner of speech or expression.

About this poem:
Just a silly attempt to acknowledge the worth of the poets!! :-)
Niah, it's been a long time since I've been able to be active on the site. Every year right around Feb / Mar. my schedule begins getting CrAzY busy and I'm lucky to spend any time on my lap-top. It's great to see that many of the familiar faces are still here at the corner!! It's almost like coming home for a visit to see family! Thanks for taking the time to visit my poem and to share your comment.

Hi Swade,
What you say is all too true. The right words in the right sequence that can express. That's what poets try to do. Easier said than done.

Hi John
Don't knock your own work (there are enough people in this life ready to hand out knocks).
The philosophy behind this write is quite astute - poetry is relaxing, expressive, disciplined, creative and richly satisfying.
If by going to find the poet the the writer succeeds in finding his or herself, that is the most desirable of outcomes.
I hesitate making these appreciative comments only because it continues to place my work at the top of the list, but more importantly, I DO want to express my gratitude to all who share their comments, views and time with me in making remarks about my poetry.
Bill, "Thank You Sir!" Your word of advice is gratefully acknowledged and appreciated!!
adjhe..... you're a new face on this forum from when I was last 'actively involved'.... great to see you on board with some of the world's finest people!!!! Thank you so much for your generous remarks about my poetry.
