A chorus of frogs sing outside my window, a tell tell sign that Spring draweth nigh, then suddenly something stops their song, and I sit here bewildered, wondering "why?"
A few seconds of silence, and then an encore as if a curtain had been intentionally dropped, and then on cue it's suddenly raised again, and frogs once again sing as if never stopped.
One of nature's beautiful mysteries no doubt, and as I sit here enjoying the poetry of P.C. the accompaniment of the chorus of frogs, blesses my reading with completed serenity.

About this poem:
As I sit here in my vehicle with passenger side widow down, reading and commenting on poetry of Poet's Corner, I'm being entertained by a beautiful song of some of nature's best singers! Tree Frogs!! I'm LOVIN it!!!

Dear Swade
What a great story bringing to mind The croaking chorus from the Frogs of Aristophanes: Mind, in Aristophanes' play the frogs were guiding Dionysus to The Halls of Hades - I'm sure the frogs of Oregon were better intentioned... I enjoyed this fine read John.
Best wishes

Maybe they pause to remind you that one of them might be your princess. Since you don't want to take a risk and give her a kiss, they carry on with their singing.
I enjoyed your poem, thanks, friend.

Hi swade I luved this quirky write.. how awesome is nature ? I pictured awareness and pure tranquil moments One of nature's beautiful mysteries no doubt, and as I sit here enjoying the poetry of P.C. the accompaniment of the chorus of frogs, blesses my reading with completed serenity.:
I'm in a hurry (again) but wanted to thank the 7 of you (number of completeness! Hum?) for all the inspiring and uplifting comments! To each and everyone of Poet's Corner.... may your day be blessed with the sounds of a chorus of frogs.... if only in your imagination!! Till - whenever?
What a nice accompaniment they must make while you work.. I read somewhere that frogs actually freeze solid during the winter.. then suddently start breathing again once the temps rise to 50 degrees or so.. thought that was interesting.. Mice write Swade.. enjoyed it!
Aye! A chorus of frogs? Beats the Hell out of a chorus from a Spice Girls Cd.

Hey there Mr. Kilted Jock... Thanks for comment on the chorus of frogs! I must agree with you... I'd rather listen to the frogs than the Spice girls myself!! Have a great day kind sir!!!

Oh my goodness that sounded a lovely scene, I have never seen or heard tree frogs before, but you made them quite visible here. Now swade is one of them my prince then???? Do I have to them all

Hi Redex! Long time no see!! There's probably a prince in disguise waiting for you among those singing in that choir of frogs... the only condition is... you'll need to climb the tree to get to him for that magical kiss!! You might have to climb a lot of trees, as finding him quickly may not be so easy!! If you need some climbing spurs, I can arrange that for you when you get here!!
