FOOL

Come on tell just what is a fool?
And if I act foolish is it cool?
To act in a silly and careless way
Sometimes hurt and never pay.
Insensitive and foolhardy
Leave people waiting because you are tardy.
Some people are known to just fool around
Never speak of anything serious or profound.
Always engaging, frivolous and gay.
Possibly to keep people at bay.
Sometimes an idiot other times clever.
Still a fool is a fool whichever.
Don’t judge me if I act ridiculous
Maybe you are just too meticulous.
If I behave like a buffoon or clown.
Just relax and calm down.
I might tease or pull your leg a little bit
That’s no reason to throw a fit.
You might be called an eejit by an Irishman or Scot
They use it so often I would get distraught.
Maybe you’re a schmuck, numbskull, prat or jackass,
Who’s real personality can be seen only under a magnifying glass.
Then again maybe you are just a simple clown
Who just likes to entertain everyone in town.

About this poem:
I just wrote this today with a friend in mind who can be fun but sometimes not looking too deep with in. Maybe some of you can relate.

Lighthearted write, a lovely read! I know a couple of these kind...in fact they call themselves "fools"...not that I think they are. They just have that sort of personality...bouquet thumbs up
