Autumn

The calendar tells us fall is here,
For many,it's the best of the year
They will rejoice
It is their choice,
They have reason to cheer.

The trees are decked out in reds and gold,
Beauty everywhere begins to unfold,
Nature is dressed
In her very best,
Her display is really quite bold.

The temperature's great most of the time,
But the show will gradually decline,
Watch out for frost
Soon all will be lost,
Knowing winter is not far behind.

Oh yes! A beautiful time of year. Here in southern California not too much of the color changing of the leaves but I do look for a bit cooler weather. You have painted a great picture of nature for us. wave

Cloudy Sky, thank you for your comment, here also we don't have a big change in the coloring of the trees, but in the eastern part of Oklahoma it does haappen. I used to live in Connecticut and the follage there in the fall is beautiful, I'm sure it is that way in Minnesota.studecar

twas said, an old gent from st. mary ride
abled all the young gals close by his side
once he had them about
he let out a great shout
'don't crowd me girls, I'm only here to oblige'
