The things I will take ( challenge)
It may sound foolish,
or even a lie,
On a isolated island,
I wish to reside.
The first thing I must take,
is the love I have inside.
A gift given, to me.
My joy, my pride, my child.
To rid ones self of material possessions
& live in splendid harmony.
Natural surroundings of simplicity,
Is where my heart, yearns to be.
Challenges will always, arise
In adverse circumstances,
We persist to survive.
Just as I did, in the concrete jungle,
Of my former life.
The second thing I would take,
is not a physical Thing, to see.
It is of a spiritual nature,
a prayer & a plea.
The prayer would be simply,
for the most high to,Guide & strengthen me.
To help through the perils,
of this unknown territory.
I would ask for knowledge & skills to adapt
For all basic needs.
Especially of, well being
To ward off, "insanity"
While I am away, my heart will dismay,
for our humanity.
I will plea, for peace in a restless society,
that is governed, By manipulation & greed.
Where wars & rumors of wars
will plague the air I breathe.
I will silently pray, in hopes not dismay,
for Gods eternal Mercy.
The last thing I will take, is my given soul.
I could not leave that behind, for it is
All I own.
When the body does, decline & if by chance death comes to me.
The, remains of my carcass is the last memory.
That's when my spirit, mind & body, can finally be free
Because God has prepared,
a place for you & me.
A room with many
Mansions, I cant wait to see,
if only we believe.
Till then, this isolated island, ....is just temporary.
