Lost Soul

Dear lost shattered soul
You float around this world carrying a heavy load
Not knowing where you ought to go.
You seem not to fit anywhere
Like a square peg in a round hole
You’re weary and dark
Your light faded long ago
You’ve searched for some small spark
To ignite your presence
But only sadness and anger
Has boiled inside your essence
You’ve turned from darkness to a black hole
Wishing and hoping that your existence would just go
Instead you float on like a single surviving wing
Of an Angel that died long ago
You scream into your darkness
Overwhelmed with pain
That seems to be stronger
With each passing day
You are blind to the brightness
That is consumed within your screams
It battles the darkness
For some kind of way in
Endless tears of anguish and torture
Is all you allow yourself to see
As you question why you should be

wow! I can't do that. . .
descriptive almost a narrative,
even a child can understand,
concept not deep, just on the surface
like a skin,
gosh i am purring. . .
you really have the gift.applause
