I have searched the forest to find your maturity When I came upon you I knew you were solid and true You have always been here Rooted to this place Even so, I feel freedom within your embrace I run my hand over your rough brown skin My eyes lovingly caress your sinuosity I look at you from your trunk to your end My head must reach the endless sky to take you all in I listen as the wind composes a song with you its instrument I breathe deeply, inhaling your rich scent I lay against your strength, my new best friend

Hi EyeToLensPage
I love your tree poem. It is very beautiful. I have a special love for trees, especially the old ones. I love the feel of their gnarled rugged barks which you have highlighted very well: "I run my hand over your rough brown skin My eyes lovingly caress your sinuosity"
I have written a special piece in honour of the sequoia:
"The glorious majesty of the stately sequoia the largest living thing on earth its massive trunk over thirty feet wide with its gnarled rugged beauty" It is part of my Nature Portraits 2 which you can view if you wish.
I also have a personification poem of an old tree which I would like to share with you:
I am impressed by your poetry. Keep writing and posting!
Have a nice day!
