Making Up

Your eyes looked at me,
green, bright and glistening,
your shining love so clear to see,
my heart wholly swallowed and listening,

My fingers reached out and touched your skin,
your head bowed and laid upon my chest,
and I could feel this love swell within,
we passionately made love and came to rest,

You gently took my hand,
I caressed your worried brow,
for we had been to the promised land,
then we laughed at that silly row
