I Dream of Angels but Live with Demons (Part 2)

His soft breath is hot and compelling
My heart is beating fast
I can hear the angels calling
But my strength is fading fast

Tears are silently rolling down my cheeks
I can hear the demons whisper
My body feels weak as I wonder
Will tonight be a night I'll remember

I can hear the angels calling me
Their sweet voices calms my soul
But the demons whispers are stronger
And have on me a magnetic hold

Drowning out the angelic source
His kiss has made me weak
but I will forever keep on fighting
For my mind and soul are mine alone to keep

So, so, good Shay! I'm proud of u. Not ez subject matter to tackle but I love your take on it. Awesome poem. Totally can relate, how courageous u r. For me no drugs, no liquor, this is my weakness, to resist the Seductress, but like u I must fight on! I will wait a while longer for Ms Right, Thank u.

Hi Shay
An arresting finish to part one. I love it and I agree with Candykid.
You have a beautiful smile and I cannot help to wonder who you were thinking of when that pic was taken.

Hi ken,
Thank you for reading. It wasn't intended to be romantic as it was a part 2 to a poem on mental illness. Guess I was a bit too cautious and I apologize for the misunderstanding. hug
