Solitude

Solitude, I know you well
At night you call
To weave your spell
With eyes that pierce
My tender soul
The shadow that you
Cast… is bold.

Solitude, you know my name
You know, I know
From whence you came
For you and I
Have talked all night
To find a way to
Put things right.

Oh Solitude, could it just be
That you, are what
Is meant for me?
That’s why you’re here
And strong as ever
For we are sure
To stay together.

And Solitude, my teacher dear
With you I’ll learn
How not to fear
Because, I know
Until I do…..
I am always going
To be with you !

Beautiful, just so expressive...sometimes I feel Solitude is so soothing,I've been alone for a long time, just hesitating to give it up or not.We get so set in our groove & find it difficult to come out of it.I loved your poem.thumbs up bouquet
