I salute you as I walk by
Silent and still against the sky
Day after day all through the year
Standing tall and without fear
Through the hot sun of day
Standing in your dress green or gray
And the cool dew of night
Greatly admiring your height
Through winter and frosty times
And the crisp cold sunshine
Glittery swirling snow all around
Or the dead stillness not making a sound
Very impressive I must say
Looking at you as I walk by each day
Handsome - silent - appealing to see
Only swaying slightly in a breeze
I'll always see you as I walk by
As you stand highlighted against the sky
Guarding over the park each day
Watching everyone walk and play

Trees always make me feel safe.
They are so tall and strong and steadfast.
They are a comfort to me.
I always feel that no matter what ~ I can lean on them for support.
Thank you.
