Happy: Thank you - not one of my best jobs, but I'm so filled with frustration that the words were not flowing as well as they usually do and my thoughts are more jumbled and upset. Hopefully something better will come later.

Thank you for this poem that calls us to raise our voices (and votes) to demand changes. We should not leave it to the children to save themselves.

It is a problem Ocean especially with the current political state of my country and the world. The death of the Roman Empire should be an example. Thanks for reading.

Joy - I agree - however our country is so deeply divided at this point and time in history that I despair. Right after 9/11 the country came together as one. Why do we need such a disaster to bring us together by others outside the country. Our own children are dying - why doesn't this disaster bring us together - I don't understand. I personally am not asking citizens the right to own a gun - just not mass destruction guns such as assault weapons, etc. If they want a rifle or pistol (with proper screening - both prison record and mental) for hunting - protection - target practice, etc. fine but why on God's green earth would they need an assault weapon!

Well this morning there was another school shooting - this time in the popular gun toting state of Texas. 7 killed and a dozen hospitalized or more. Please pray for God to intercede for our children. It appears our civilization (I use that word loosely) is incapable of taking care of our innocent souls.

So very sad ..my heart goes out to all the familes and friends of all concerned with and affected by the recent event

I know Happy Chatty - hopefully with school being out for the summer in the south and west and soon in the north - maybe - hopefully maybe things will calm down a little. Too bad by Aug./Sept. when it starts back up some kind of plan could be in place - but don't count on it. Or there will sadly be another year of our children being slaughtered.

Once again - another school shooting. As of tonight - so far 19 children and 2 adults senselessly killed by a mass school shooting in Texas. Please pray for our children and Ukraine's children. Some days it feels like the world has gone completely mad!
