Have you ever said "I love you," And then been left hung out to dry? The silence can be deafening, Almost enough to make you cry.
It's not something I'd recommend, For it's not pleasant in the least. It comes from falling way too fast. Sometimes this love can be a beast.
It may work out but maybe not, When it is just too soon to tell. But unrequited love can be, Just your own little slice of Hell.
So then you have to wait and see, If all your dreams are coming true, And if the one that one that you adore, Will say those three words, "I love you."

About this poem:
Not exactly my current situation, just a thought that came to me...
Ahhh yes, love. As deeply as you feel the joy is as deeply as you can feel the pain. Knowing your pain tolerance threshold is important because that tells you how safe you have to play it. My father always told me never to gamble what you can't afford to lose and I think that applies to love as much as anything else. Very thought provoking poem, FAL.

'the higher the leap, the harder the ground' ...but we still must try, no? the first jump, always with baited breath...and if you don't hear it back, quickly change the subject. it's a nice read, FAL, thanks!
ah free...ever the romantic notion. seems that one will never guage just when to give their heart...their heart is taken, and expression flows with such lightness of being..
Love is a wonderous thing. If you never take that chance you will never know. Love hurts, whither your in it or not. When your not you want it. Some of us race to get it some take baby steps. But its still where we want to end up. I loved this poem. I am such a romantic and think everyone should be..
