you would smile a lot more… Part III

Part III

As you may imagine, the litany went on and for how long, we know not…,
Finally, when we were totally spent and were in a zombie-like state,
Instinct took over, I lifted my daughter in my arms and carried her to the car,
Slowly, surreptitiously the spirit of the divine began to seep back into us, and to enliven us…,
As if some heavenly force were moving me, I drove to our favourite restaurant, were we wolfed down the most delicious Belgian waffles layered with maple syrup, disguised as the spirit of god, I’m sure…

Soon after, Africa began to do its healing work,
My daughter fell madly in love with a wonderful young man,
Who has given her another most beautiful baby girl,
Both their careers took off, they now live on an enchanting Mediterranean island,
And I am blessed enough to be able to behold their radiance,
Although, my trained healer’s eye, can sometimes see the sheen of sadness beneath the sparkles that reflect off my daughters’ diamond eyes…

Thankyou very much Earl Grey for posting this story. I have had the privilege to have read a few true stories from Author's past lives and without a doubt, or exception, they have all been wonderful, not least because buried in each is trust. The trust that each Author has had in the reader, and the other members of our corner, our little society, to take all at face value and trust in the Author. A wonderful read....Thankyou Earl Grey......Andrew.

Thanks for your valuable comment, Andrew, I am begining to put the techniques of cellular therapy to magnificent use, it is thrilling to see the results..., as I am convinced, because of the solid research done in the US in the 1970's that ultimately, all horror, all illness, all emotional discomfort, ALL DIS-EASE is stored in cellular memory and passed on from the dying cell to the new cell, otherwise, why would an eye cell that is completely re-generated in about 48 hours still be in need of spectacles or the myriad other eye diseases? Extrapolated, this covers everthying...

you are very brave to share this, i wrote my first Haiku about something that happened to me back in 1995, but i wasn't brave enough to explain it to anyone. i just felt that i needed to start rolling the pain slowly away from me. as i read this piece, i did feel your pain if only a fraction of it. i can only imagine how difficult it must have been for you to have found the right words to say here. as you often say earlgrey, love and light.

Hi, Earlgreytea,
It takes a special light and love to see the sheen of sadness beneath the sparkles that reflect off my daughters’ diamond eyes…. Thank you for sharing yours with us! I am honored to have made your acquaintance!

Earl: Too bad they don't have a short story / essay segment to the corner, so you wouldn't have to cut the story up. Having said that I can only add admiration of you & daughter, to rise up! from the broken glass, dusty excrement of life, into the maple syrup of sweet strains of smiles.
