POSSIBILITIES

I like to shop you see
so working in a
consignment store may
be just the thing for me.
Yet i do not know if that
is to be or another line
of work is what is down
the road for me.
My future is endless you
see i can be anything
i want to be if i just
set my

posties ride

riding within the white lines viewing everything in site,
air blowing in thy hair awaking me up from the night ,
visor pulled down fogged from my mouth eyes are protected,
watching the sun arise the light within my eyes sets a sparkle in thy sky,
riding along that road with your day in toe,
angry folk and happy folk smiling and arguing your fate,
leaving depo on the bike leaving home life behind,
a new day with sunlight possibly a storm for time,
danger is in thy eyes how i forget it for such a short time,
still once on that bike like a crow i follow a streight line,
flying free on the road working all day to go home,
how i hope ill continue to live to ride.

days rest

hail so strong you chest feels the might of the cold,
rain so frequent its like your crying with long tear,
sun so bright it makes you smile all mornin,
engine sounds almost defen your eardums but free your hair to
glide within the wind,
letters wet leters dry parcels so big return them home,
long hours of work and pain in the legs but still you go on,
on and on like the warriors of past,
but yet you go on for your jobs almost done,
no more smiles no more crying no more wind ,
just the sound of your snoring on the pillow,
now your day is completed time to start new tomorrow mornin.

"My, Oh My!"

The day has been long but my objectives were all met,
the grapes were all planted, and a new gate got set.
The grass was mowed nicely, the trimming got done,
the moss killer and fertilizer were applied on the run.

This rain, it's been relentless, falling now for weeks,
some say: "cats and dogs", I say: "streams and creeks".
Tis been said this rain's a needed, to satisfy a drought,
a statement that I can question with unbelieving doubt.

Out in many green pastures where only horses did run,
Geese and Mallard ducks now prepare to hatch their young.
This Spring, it's been a doozy, a real drencher that's for sure,
it's been more of a lasting Winter in want of a raining cure.

Still, though wet, I try my best to squeeze in as much as I can,
I've learned that one can't really rely upon any weatherman.
He says: "Blue skies accented with an occasional passing cloud",
So I load my tools and still end up as one of a rain soaked crowd.

If and when a real Springtime decides to come dropping in,
warmth of sun and view of flowers will produce a healthy grin.
My face like that of many others will shine with pure delight,
to see the sights of a rainless day that lasts all thru the night.

Before we know it, Summer's here, temps all hot and steamy,
cooling rain from weeks before will then seem rather dreamy.
One thing remains the same no matter what the weather does,
my load of work will still be there to be done like a bee abuzz.

Come rain or shine, I'll do my best to answer every one's call,
to improve their yards by giving them a landscaper's overhaul.
When the day ends, whether I'm left as one soaking wet or dry,
I'm blessed to hear each paying client whispering "My, Oh My!"

"Liquid Comfort"

It's been two long hard days of intensive labor,
the preparation for foaling has been accomplished.
My muscles within my body are screaming for rest,
due to a friends horse barn keeping me active and enslaved.
The roof, through which entirely to much sun had been shining,
has been satisfactorily sealed against unwanted exterior elements.
My own insides are telling me of discomforting neglect,
and reminding me that it's time for some liquid comfort!

Liquid comfort that soothes a dust laden and parched throat,
that has endured hours of inhaling organic microscopic air born particles.
Alas, the work has been completed! The fatted calf can be prepared!
New stalls within which four new foals will soon lay with their mare mothers,
are ready and waiting for that magical moment of life to Spring forth!
It's time for some liquid comfort!

The brown container in which my liquid comfort comes,
has but one major difference from all others... it's brand name.
But, "Oh the soothing effect!" upon my dust crusted throat,
as it washes away that unpleasant, raspy dryness causing such thirst.
What pleasure it is to end this day with such a wonderful product,
as this liquid comfort called... Chocolate Milk!!! - YUM!!!

Just got home from two long days of intensive labor - working for a friend in need. I stopped at a local gas station and looked for something cool, refreshing, soothing, satisfying..... I found it and then decided to write about it's marvelous effects upon my thirst!! What a gift Chocolate Milk is!!!

masks

Crazy silly people with whom i share my day give me a piece of insanity then send me on my way i observe thier performance, absurdly amusing as they change thier masks to make it more confusing and at the end of each day i gratefully head home to remove my heavy mask when i am alone and i laugh at the crazy silly people

To "live life"

We are mired by routine , tangled in between duties and responibuilities, desperate for that moment to come and live life. Precious times when we connect and feel alive , no longer trapped by the trappings of the everyday life.Precious times , may be minutes or weeks , when lifes perfect moments make us complete. We join humanity in the celebration , I offer my thanks for the times I gain , precious and few , to live life again.....

The Boss

Your mind is frazzled and you're wound up so tight,
Wrapped up in a frame so slender and slight,
You worry so much about the impression you make,
Like a manikin doll cold and so fake.

You dress to say hey look at me!
I'm power personified You wish you were me,
So self-obsessed with all that you've got
Want to be you? I bloody hope not.
