untitled

Under a harsh electric glare we wear ourselves out,
While the old lady sings of love, long lost.
Undulating fervour takes us to three,
In the morning, cold now,
you cling to me

A Field Worker's Soil

Come kiss heaven's hand and give a warm embrace;
Soil the roots of wisdom unto this desolate earth.
A barren land you blisfully sow high hopes,
plant with joy a prosperous toil reaped with dirty bones.

Sacred be your pastures green labored hard and long;
Blessed are the grounds in which you now step upon.
For valued is the meadow that your hard-work built,
nothing is ignored now for decent work dispels all guilt.

The spirit does appreciate burning blood and tears;
and blistered hands of effort-fetched by arduous years.
Rewarded be the sweat of a field worker,
for bountfiful is the fruit of his labor.

About this poem:
Most people (ignorant, so to speak) immediately assume that all hispanic immigrants are good for nothings, that they belong in the rice fields. Little do they know, hispanics in general are labor ready workers, hard-workers, willing to sacrifice whatever it is necessary to provide their families with daily food. They're underpaid and disrespected, this poem was written in honor of those great men whose fruit is the product of their labor.

The Co-Worker

He’s younger
A bit of a rebel
I assume by his self inflicted
Tattoos
"Love"
"Hate"
On each arm
Other symbols I don’t
Recognize
Still…
Very handsome
Refined visage
Fans of fringed eyelashes
And we flirt
An excuse to “high-five”
To steal a touch
Hands warm and soft
He is edgy or
Not
We look at each other across
The room
We pass
As if we are strangers
Still…
He drops what he is doing
To help me with my work
A gentleman in hiding
And I knew where to look

About this poem:
There is a man at work who is a bit intriguing. Twenty years my junior, still, the attraction, I think, is mutual.

Another Monday

The alarm clock crowed its monstrous notes as I struggled to find it’s camouflaged position.
Like a cap in the wind it tumbled further away in the blankets as I tried furiously to reach..
A clunk on the floor advised me it was wounded as it turned into a tweet half accomplishing my mission.
Stumbling thru my bedroom doorway I peeked thru cloudy eyes and cursed thru mumbled speech.
Why didn’t I take that veterinarian course-oh yeh! very long and costly and too darn demanding.
Will have to shave and shower, comb my teeth and brush my hair?….and try and find my keys.
This routine for company, corporation and state often seems obscene and never ending
I will be like a walking Zombie until I reach the brown box in the line and say large double double Plezzzz….

Punished..

Iwas punished for my sincere love
With a knife in my heart
My heart bleeds so much
I can't stop it.

I was punished for my sincerity
With maany lies and dreams without reasons
Witha message which made me feel a clown
A clown of u enjoy with my true feelngs.

I was punished because I belived
Still exists someone sincere
But he wakes me up with a slap
Of his words on my face.

dreaming of what we never get..

I saw a kid standing in the dark of night
He may be at the age of 4 or 5
He was at the court yard holding
A big bowl, filled with water
And he stated to laugh and laugh
B cuz he saw the full moon reflects in that bowl
He thought, he got that moon in his hand
And he was happy, very happy, as ever seen.

The visions.

I looked to the distant vision we concieved, I have delighted in all we feed.! whence we threw our lives too dust, I created a sword for you to thrust. a heart i seached for thee to feel. whence my emotions you do steal. I care not for thee today,or of yesteryear, you name i dare to mutter clear. It took a life to pass before we ever believed, "visions we dare but see ,never share or for that concieve...!

Good Morning

Good morning, as you rise and shine
Another day in life is here
The hour has come to redefine
Your journey ‘cross the wild frontier
Beneath a sky, in cobalt hue
You’ll stroll along your merry route
While I hope all the best for you
As you continue your pursuit.

Good morning, as the moonlight fades
And you begin your daily chores
The dawn is bright; open the shades
Then, dream until each wish is yours
Throughout the day, you’ll move in stride
As I hold your heart in each prayer
Every time that you look outside
You’ll know that I am waiting there.

Good morning, as you greet the world
Once more, your life begins anew
A fresh beginning has unfurled
And brought your goals within your view
While you seek to embrace your dreams
I’ll wish you well, ‘til day is done
I’ll keep you safe, beneath my beams
Have a great day! Regards, the sun.
