Mr. B.

It was a gorgeous sunny day ...

On the day you passed away.

Suddenly, the day didn’t seem so nice anymore ...

I was feeling so hurt, down to my very core.

Since then I’ve thought of you, day in and day out ...

I just miss you so deeply, without a doubt.

There was a certain song playing on the day you died ...

The last time I heard that song, I broke down and cried.

I put more pictures of you on my wall to view ...

Sometimes it helps just to be able to look at you.

Other times the pictures make me feel sad ...

But the one with us laughing makes me feel glad.

YES

Really I am so lost without you!
You never give me bad things
Only good and worthy things!
Even YES... I admitted ...
Sometimes ... I leave you ...
But ... LOVE always leads me back to YOU!

Just like Eric Clapton says ...
"Would you hold my hands IF I saw U in heaven"
But ... I think I'm not deserve to b there
But ... I wanna b there with you
IF I COULD!

YES ...
I missed you, MOM!
YES ... your awesome daughter missed U!

Memories of you will always with me.

126 in 22 days

We dial the numbers
The phone on the other end dose not ring
We shout out aloud
Our voices like whispers fall on deaf ears
We are vulnerable and alone
Isolated by our thoughts and our fears

We feel we have no other options
We go through the list
Pull the trigger of the gun
Empty the contents of prescription bottle all in one
The slash of the wrist
To jump with a rope around our neck
So, we fall prey to the hangman’s fatal twist
Maybe we will step out in front of a bus or car
Or the express train we see coming from afar

We dial the number but hands do not move
We shout out but we are alone so our words remain unspoken
We have carried this thought for so long
We believe we are broken

Now some one must find us
The news they must share
For ever haunted by the memories
Of the lifeless body, they found lying there

The clay on the coffin
The spark of the flame
This does nothing to stop our loved one’s self-blame

We don’t hear the cry’s
The whispered I love you
The wondering why
We don’t see the impact on lives
How are loved ones this date is now set to one side
On this date for the rest of their lives
They will always remember the suicide

About this poem:
This is a poetical stand for those people who have taken their own lives in Ireland this year. If Ireland’s suicide rate keeps going at the same pace. Ireland will lose over 2000 people by the end of the year. Please don’t let happen. Make our government stand up and take notice of this epidemic before it is too late.

ANGEL CAFE

Embedded image from another site

RIP dod: 9/17/2017

God has a new Angel in Heaven today
Leaving his poetry friends astray
Lost without our Castle leader Café
The knights are sad and the maidens afraid

Café Jim brightened all our days with fun
He also strengthened our Spirits with love
He never judged but treated everyone equally
Giving his friendship and his love freely

Greatly missed in this corner of the world
You were one of God’s rare black pearls
Heaven has gained a wonderful Knight
The Castles up there will surely come alive

To all our loved ones in Heaven watch out above
Café Jim is there now – surround him with love
If you wonder how you might find him up there
Look for an Angel with a Halo slightly bent over his ear

RETURN OF YESTERDAY

Embedded image from another site

Yesterday you were a memory in time
Today time appeared to stand still
While with an odor – sound – sight you were here
Thus yesterday again became very real

Feelings and visions tugged at my heart
Thus bringing grief to the front
Overpowering waves of memory rising
Sweeping my emotions with the tide

Riding the rolling waves to shore
Arriving there all battered and bruised
Surviving once again the waves of grief
Memories pushed back to yesterday again

For all the men that tried to do you wrong..

What were you thinking?
Did she not kiss your
Cheek like a dove from
Heaven?

Can't you remember
Her glowing smile
As you walked
Through the door?
She just needed a
Man to comfort
Her..
To protect her
She really saw
You as a knight
In shining armour
But somehow
You took a
Different path in
Life
Something in your
Mind said..
"I'll take an approach
To violence
You thought, " I'll
Scream and shout"
I'll make her fear
My presence
Because.. I am
MAN!
Really?
What are you?
I have an answer!
You are nothing
But bone and muscle
You are yesterdays
T-Shirt that reads,
"I'm to stupid to love
A woman"
And now she's trying
To get away from you
Because she realizies
You are a loser of
The first class
She should have
Never put her hand
Upon your cheek
Because you are
Death warmed over
Do you know what
You missed by
Your subhuman
Behaviour?
Of course you
Don't
You're dried up
Slime on a hot
Sidewalk
Her cherry lips
Were meant for
A king
But you took her
Sweet loving heart
To the dungeons
Of hell
And when you're
Sitting behind bars
In some hellish
Prison for all
Your demonic
Abuse
Then perhaps you'll
Ponder..after twenty
Years
That you traded the
Kiss of Heaven
For the fires
Of Hell!

Loss

What solace is there for us to be found
Who bewail the demise of one so dear
Like the epicentre of a quake that's shaken the ground
Can't believe she's gone who was once so near

So much joy in the home when we rose this morning
To the usual bustle of breakfast being prepared
As she hurried us along for day was dawning
She made sure that each of her boys was fed

And then with commands to each she gave
She grabbed her bag and was out the door
I remember so well that hurried wave
That left me believing she deserved so much more

She was working too hard and needed a break
And my failure to give it simply broke her heart
I had vowed that there were changes I was going to make
But promises hardly kept us from drifting apart

When the news of the car crash came to my door
All the pain and heartbreak bore me down
With a shattered heart I lay on the floor
And wept till my tears had soaked the ground

Such anguish and loss I can hardly explain
We were cast adrift on an ocean of grief
My son's each tried to deal with their pain
But for none was found any sign of relief

Now the years have gone yet time's stood still
For a family who has lost so much
My sons have grown and their steadfast will
Is evidence of their mother's gentle touch

And though we're doing fine in many ways
With all my heart I would love to do
Just for a moment to see her and touch her face
And tell her one last time "I LOVE YOU"

About this poem:
I wrote this poem at a time when a dear friend had lost his wife in a tragic accident.
I saw how much he grieved for her and it broke my heart. I chose to write
This poem in a feeble effort to express, in some small way, my condolences
And an empathic understanding of what he might be going through.

x

There are so many words I can't bring myself to say
for if I do, what have I to cling onto?
"She was a lady, one of the best", I hear you say,
the word "was" like a dart in my heart,
she "is" I scream in silence,
not willing to accept this grief stricken life sentence.
The gaping hole you've left behind
will never be filled,
no matter the time.
You fought the battle right to the end,
no one could be prouder
than me your best friend
I ought to remember you're free of pain
and not want you back for my own selfish gain.
You are loved more than words can say
that'll never change
not now, nor 'til the end of day.

Grieving

I am stretched on your grave
And would lie there forever;
If your hands were in mine
I’d be sure we’d not sever.
My apple tree, my brightness,
‘Tis time we were together
For I smell of the earth
And am stained by the weather.

When my family think
That I’m safe in my bed
From night until morning
I am stretched at your head,
Calling out to the air
With tears hot and wild
My grief for the girl
That I loved as a child.
