I pulled up a chair next to her at the dinner table
while watching her pour food from a jar without a label
She neither look nor shift when I sat in my chair
At the other side of the room on the wall she kept a steady stare
not a sound escaped her lips , no sound at all
her face was dry cold as if it were made of ice
something is wrong, this cant be nice.
I'm afraid just to sit here and watch her eat
my heart was beating fast, matching the nervous shakes of my feet
Then she looked at me with a face that was determined
a face that was free
with a face in pain, a pain caused by me
then out popped a paper, a paper from her pocket
she stretched over and slipped it in my jacket
she then got up to walk but down she went with a a fall
I look not at her but to the lid of the jar
reading the word in fine print that marked death
I ran to her and heard the words she whispered with her last breath
she whispered to me "I love you"
she said she love me? that cant be true
I'm still bond to her for she signed none of the papers
then I called and cancelled the movers
I began to read the paper, the paper in my jacket
It said "you have lost the love, you have lost the love for me.
before you leave me, I rather die, so death it shall be."
with tears rolling from my eyes while eating the last in the jar, I repeat the words "death it shall be."
death is the only thing that can stop the guilt in me.

All is staid
This is a shadow
no one to please
one
to
seek a pleasing
you are like me
a knowing
to Bath
how BEAUTIFUL;
I seek
but etched
and
drew
in the warmth
the bath must come
together
warmth
love
Just tried
a rememberence
Love so real
xx

In the absence of loss
There could exist
Love
In the absence of cruelity
There could exist
Kindness
In the absence of darkness
There could exist

Just a few words half
scribbled on a scrap of
paper blown to the gutter
It said:'To tired to live..
To tired to die..
To tired..
Goodbye'

How deep the faults lie under our feet
Across many vast expanses of time
Lost for eternity is obsolete
Never to recall lest the old bell chime
A heart beats strong and smooth to its core
Unfaltered by any unfaithful crevasse
If faith could hold us together evermore
There'd be no fear for love to perisse
Alas! Like earth love has no window
For such force we can never foresee
So precious is time that fate foreshadow
Negating science all its repartee
Wisely know in age of uncertainity
Only love can last an eternity

About this poem:
Like an earthquake, tragedy and death hit without warning,
but love too like life is precious and eternal as each day is so long
and we remember those taken away from us will live on in our hearts.

Little Jamie spoke today
Which is against the rules
Soon his daddy will make him pay
Blood paints the floor
No screams
Not a tear
A heart that holds a thousand fears
Learned not to scream
When no one came
Not to cry
When others turned away
A little boy who wants a tender touch
Some one to hold him when life became too much
But life didn't work that way
A fateful night he was made to pay
For an imagioned sin
Wisked away into the night
Little Jamie won't pay no more.

Sandy miles I have walked
Trying to sort all my thoughts
Why God took you away from me
Just something i couldnt see
I knew your pain felt your darkness
To live you took the risk
How i ache to touch you once more
but God well He showed you the door
I understand Now that i am alone
That heaven is now your home
You were my love my wife my friend
In time we will love again

The Wish of Heaven in the Sky!
The pain of growing older, seeing friends and love ones passing slowly bye,
Makes one wonder is there really such a place as a desirous heaven, way up in the sky!
A place where we will sing and play together, will I find you there?
Destiny with any future prospects, a hidden utopia high up in heaven’s air!
Will our heaven’s wings fly us amongst their wondrous skies?
Is there really a heaven or is it, someone’s awful lies?
I dream of our being there someday together because I miss you walking by my side,
Oh my darling, love one, why did you have to go?
I wanted you for my forever bride!

About this poem:
As one grows older the spirits of our loved ones pass us by! Tis the old Question, is there life after death? In a land of paradise or does the cloak of darkness just consume us and we are no more?

In an instant
The world turns on a dime
Back where it started
Staring, thru time
How far i have come
and yet
I remain true
It doesnt matter
What others may think
My strength wells from within
Strong will
Strong spirit
I am

I LOST MY FRIEND THE OTHER DAY,
HE JUST SILENTLY SLIPPED AWAY
FROM THE FETTERS OF THIS LAND -
- BUT - THAT WAS THE MANNER OF THIS MAN.
I VALUE ALL THE TIME WITH HIM,
I FELT A KINDSHIP DEEP WITHIN.
WE THOUGHT ALIKE IN MANY WAYS
WE LEARNED,WE TAUGHT ,
I LOVED THOSE DAYS.
THERE NEVER WAS A WORD OF IRE,
WITH ME AT LEAST,WHILE IN HIS HIRE,
OF ALL,HE WAS MY FAVORITE BOSS
AND NOW HE'S GONE,IT'S SUCH A LOSS.
I NEVER HEARD HIM BRAG OR BOAST
THOUGH HE HAD REASON, MORE THAN MOST,
A QUIET GENIUS TO THE END,
OH GOD, I MISS MY FRIEND.

About this poem:
I wrote this poem a number of years ago in tribute to a man who was not only my boss but also my friend. He was a quiet genius in electronics and one of the earliest developers of cable TV. At one time he owned 9 systems in 4 states. Since this is Memorial Day I thought it fitting to post my poem.
