The Plain Truth

Ask and you shall see
What’s inside of me
I don’t hide any treasure
Or fake any pleasure
‘Cause honesty’s transparent
And really quite coherent
There’s little mystery
For that matter history
Is that why I’m so plain?
Please do not complain
Don't tell tall tales
When all else fails
There's no secret mantra
and no hidden agenda
So don’t jump the gun
And count me as one
Don’t have to wrestle
To find someone special
No need to be a sleuth
Just to know the truth

Tales from the Ocean of Humanity

I've spent my life upon the ocean
Through storms and troughs
And tsunamis of dread

And sometimes I have sighted Islands
Upon this trackless ocean of life
But have been unable to reach them
So rough has been the tide

I came upon an archipelago
Many islands beneath the sun
Of various size and appearance

As I tried to land on some
I found them unwelcoming
Some were frozen and aloof
Some gave me a hostile reception
And made me go away
Others already had two inhabitants
And three would be a crowd

Still others did I come upon
Where the islands had been damaged
Perhaps by war or bad season
yet others are only seen at night
Their inhabitants afraid of the glare of day
Sounding out their siren's calls
To lure the unwary
And to rob them of their goods

My quest goes on amid the islands
Till I find one where I can live
And at last my journey will be over
My anchor dropped in a friendly harbour

Till then my voyage continues
Upon the sea of loneliness...

art supplies

the day was sketched
time added air
with roughened strokes
in spaces

the sea inhaled
sands grew
around memories
bivouacked

a swept stroke emblazoned
on a hidden horizon
counterbalanced
by the edges

mushroom umbrellas bloom
licked by salt
and the rays
of technique

lines and curves
superimposed
over
whiteness

and the shell of us
stretched
by the crab
of ennui

I thought you were made
of grey texture
a thick impasto
dipped in methylate

we meandered on wet canvass
pursued
by deadline

viewed by
strangers
within
and without

hanging
in isolation

our own chiaroscuro

Angels in the sea

One night I had a dream
I couldn't talk nor scream

Out of a silvery pristine sea
I saw Angels dancing so effortlessly

Flying to and fro they had a greenish glow

Such a beautiful site to see
I had hoped they come to rescue me

Suddenly, a whirlwind of light and love filled my whole being and I was placed on a platform with circular light rings

I felt such beauty and warmth and visions of crystal temples shapes seeming so complex but, effective and simple

I began to wonder if I died and went to Heaven and suddenly, a voice in my head said unto me

"Beloved son of man how blind you seem to be if you were dead would you experience such ecstasy?"

I pondered for a moment about such a thought and yes it is all for naught.

Then out of a flash of light there a appeared such a beautiful sight

Hundreds if not thousands of beautiful angels so lovely to behold none young or old

I asked who they were and what they wanted from me
They spoke without a word but to my heart and mind in kind so gently

"Beloved brother of mine and ours we are your sisters and brothers and friends from another dimension and time"

" We bring you here from time to time to show your true self in kind"

I looked upon all I saw of technology and healing of the heart and mind a spiritual journey ever sublime

I wondered if I was still dreaming and an angel spoke to me, "This is your reality not the world you live in everyday, we just appear to you in a dimension that you can understand our ways

What you see of us is only an idea to offer you from your point of view yet, we are beyond your understanding and we see and know your troubles you hold so true

You may ask why we do not intervene but, quite often we do only to a select few

Your world is still not ready for what's in store to bring much healing and love and more

Open your heart to what you believe and let go of your fears to be relieved.
Unlearn your past experiences see them wash away
In our truth there is no past or future but, only today

Humans sing and cry for love without offering it and wonder why they still can't find their way

They want but, rarely do they give
it's kind of a contradiction to live

Nevertheless, we sit in another dimension observing your human contention

All we can do is sit and wait and watch you decide your fate

Yet, we forgive you for you know not what you do
We were very much like you and still learning and growing to see life renewed

Hence, go our beloved and teach with kindness what we showed you. Though many will still reject our truth and that is their choice

For they are free to have their point of view. As the saying goes don't shoot the messenger for one day the truth will be revealed to each and everyone of you.

Do you see ME?

In a photo, on the roadway,
On a bus or car or plane.
Do you see ME? Am I what you think?
Clearly envisioned, even when you blink?
The ME that you see, may not really be
The true representation of who you’d hoped
So don’t be afraid to look deeper.
The search for the ‘truth’ is never just a quick grope
In the dark; it’s hidden behind a few layers.
Let your search be certain, let your eyes look deep.
Not just admire the surface, but also see what’s beneath.
The ME that you see isn’t all that there is…

ordinary love

I see you everyday
its not important you see me
I'm the the man who moors his boat
near your house upon the quay

your son is older than me
learning issues, t'would appear
he follows you like gravity
like a worry follows fear

you never appear angry
in the face of nature's mirth
everyday he walks beside you
every day a brand new shirt

"who looks after you?" I think
as the ocean soaks the sands
you hold your son so tightly
an umbilical cord of hands

you always seem to have a smile
as you fumble for your key
I'm humbled by your kindness
you must be north of sixty - three

I worry for your future
but there's steel around your home
a dignity past this modern place
a swan a'swim in chrome

SIGNS OF SPRING

Trees so silent in winter months
now flowering with blossoms,
waving and shouting,
youho, hello.
The winds are vengeful
bringing sweet colours to the floor.
Coating the ground pink, and
thoughts of red cherries galore.
A lightness of heart.
A warming of the soul.
Catching a glimpse of nature
not so different from our own.
I shout a hye to the skies
and my buddies the trees.
We will lift our heads high
and welcome the sun
and keep branching out,
for when all said and done.
Life is sweet,
as sweet as my trees.

Reality

A person is never fully known
we never get to know the mind of a human being
but when you fall in love, you experience that you think you know everything.
We never know ourselves when we love
we never know love when we try
we just play the truth, because we hate knowing about falsehood
We are so equal that inequality distances us from reality.
we walked aimlessly and found answers
we sail without the moon and lose the opposite direction.
We accomplish feats and we hate at least once in life
but it is not enough when we detect that everything is a lie.
Life is just a passage of clouds,
and at times it seems to us to grow from a large tree.
If we reach eternity
we are applauded by angels who suffered with us
the abuses of a story Endless.
What are we?
We are the fruit of what we have never known

The Human Experience

There is no greater story that has existed in history than that of our species.
We have always been an inquisitive series of creatures,
Ever since our ancestors took their first steps out of the primordial lakes
And observed the beautiful world around them.
They were primitive, yet had a yearning for knowledge through exploration and experimentation.
As our species has advanced throughout the last 200,000 years,
We have made fascinating discoveries about ourselves, the world around us, and beyond,
Yet our ancestors’ primitive and infantile behaviors have continued to remain in existence,
Even after all of these years of evolution.

It is surprising how our species has always been riddled with contradictions and irony.
We have an understanding of how to care for one another,
Yet some of us have been abused through egotistical desires and manipulation.
We want to share this beautiful planet and it’s bountifuls,
While some of us horde it for ourselves.
We want to live in peace and co-existence,
Yet some of us attack one another over frivolous quarrels,
Which results in verbal disputes or bloodshed.
We have created several inventions and concepts during our time on this planet,
Yet we have designed them to purposely help or hurt one another.

These contradictions often come from the worst of human errors, such as money and power,
two of which have vastly poisoned the minds of both the controllers and the controlled.
The belief that money is somehow legitimate is only a mere superstition, which has been enforced by the historical tyrants who claim they rightfully own this world.
This superstition is why many people impulsively ignore the injustices happening right in front of them,
and shows that money itself is a false reward compared to a love of this planet and it’s inhabitants.
Believing one has a supposed devine power over others is detrimental,
And shows how foolish and egotistical they can become.
A prime example of this is getting other people to do their bidding.
A religious parent isn’t proud their child made their first communion,
Instead the parent only concerned about getting a positive review from those in their congregation.
If a student doesn’t do as their told,
Their teacher believes they can rightfully-so restrict them of their human rights and freedoms.
If a person refuses to participate legalized theft (commonly called taxes),
The politicians and their enforcers believe they can legally kidnap and cage that person.
Despite these two human errors,
We are continuously pushing to become a race of free, open-minded individuals,
Instead of shackled slaves.

Our ancestors were shackle-less when they began their lives,
Yet some of us insanely believing we need to be shackled
Has led to the most inhumane injustices waged upon us.
Due to our natural sense of intuition,
We universally agree that those actions have always been wrong,
But we have sadly become so accustomed to them,
We have become lost and unaware of a way out,
Even when carrying a torch through the dark canals of our situations.

Becoming a race of natural, and intelligence-embracing, human beings isn’t impossible,
It simply requires learning from the mountain of mistakes we’ve made in the past,
And continuing to persist forward.
However, nothing is as clearly evident as our immaturity and ignorance causing nothing but backfire.
We have good faith that our descendants will live in the world we dreamed of,
Yet it is important and imperative that we push the boulder into motion
For a beautiful world to exist in the future.
Us doing so in one way or another shows we are capable of gradually acquiring maturity and wisdom,
And in a world of mature and wise people,
The power structure our corrupted brothers and sisters created will be overthrown,
And the dream world we hold dear will finally become a reality one day.

WAR

"Oh! Plenty wars, to seek, with eager men to die,
As many weaken hearts, to spread by peace, a lie,
With filled minds of wrath and empty mouths of blood,
With wicked whispers near, as far as weapons flood
The same old wrecked world where tyrants rule and thrive
The everlasting crowd – and o, alas! At last!! Who feels alive?!
The dim over the candle, which spread the lofty dreams
Among those shadows – lost – in such a sprout of beams,
The ripple softly falling, of golden cup’s beheading,
When fiercy swords are drawn, for jewels fall when shedding?..
Or maybe broken bones, for masters, and cruel laws for tyrants,
As well as lots of aces rise to crush such heap of ants,
- If not – why not?! – more stones, to build the shrines for giants
Which never seems to end the poison among plants?!..
Oh, no! Oh, no! Oh, no! There’s no one, left alive,
To tell the story further for ears that strive to listen
Such nonsense of a mirror from which the whispers glisten
Around the edges, death – this blade who guards the hive;
There’s nothing else to raise, for heads that lies beneath
A truth that’s long forgotten, replaced by some gods
Which often show at wars, to spill more blood – such odds! –
Where wrath had sunk already, like ivy changes heath;
Without a fear of dying, there’s one, among the ravens
That lurks around these realms, to mourn, to weep, to yell:
From death, to life, the bard’s awoken spirit, - look!!
Where silence seems to cure, had nothing else to tell!.."
