Longing for You

How many days will slip by
Sand through an hourglass
Seperated one from another
One tiny grain at a time
Onto a vast seashore
Will my hour ever chime
How significant am I?

"Four Candles"

I am not a native speaker of English, so, sorry for possible language mistakes. What I would like to share is the meaning of the text.
PS. Any translation of the text into English or Italian will be appreciated. Thanks.

"Four Candles"

Four candles were burning in a room and slowly melting…
It was very silent in the room, and easy to hear their talk.

The first candle told: "I am Calmness. Unfortunately, people do not able to keep me, and, I think, it will be better I will stop giving light. And the candle went out.

The second candle said: "I am Belief. Nowadays people don't consider me to be important, they do not wish to listen about me, therefore there is no sense to me to burn further "
A light breeze blown, and has put out the candle.

Then the third candle has said: "I am Love. People do not appreciate and don't value me anymore, sometimes they even hate what/whom they loved the most." After saying that the third candle also went out.

Suddenly, a child came into the room. He has afraid from darkness and started to cry.

The fourth candle said to him: " Please don't cry! While I am alive and burning, it is always possible to light on all other candles ... I am Hope".

THE ROAD OF THORNS

THE ROAD OF THORNS

She held her breath, as heartache danced again,
in a legless heart, she wished that now was dead,
this barbed wire ring, that tears her heart within,
hidden yet, no guard to keep it in.

Yet hate she should ''the bastard'' for what he did,
but the heart is deaf to reason, in loving things,
and love, not always easy to define,
as pain, can tear her still, not least sublime,

And the thought of him with HER, the heart recoils,
of wasted 20 years, of love and toil,
for HER, to reap his hands upon her flesh,
and she worn out, by loving, now forsake.

But let him go she must, or live in dread,
of pain so rough, 'twould shatter heart, and head,
with new resolve she lay upon the bed,
but muffled pillow screams, come out instead.

AS WE LOVED ABOVE THE DEAD

AS WE LOVED ABOVE THE DEAD

You stood naked against the tombstone,
the graveyard, whisper quiet,
you shivered, at my touch,
in the stillness of the night.

In the hills, a vixen calling,
Ivy trembled, as if in dread,
as we in passion, truly lived,
as we loved above the dead.

Did the rested, hear our passion,
recalling love, of feather bed,
did they wish to join the living,
as we loved above the dead.

Then darker seemed our passion,
as full moon, cloud, behind did rush,
was it hiding there from passion,
or did it simply hide its blush.

Did ghosts frown, at our entwining,
for the graveyard was our bed,
or did they envy us, our passion,
as we loved above the dead.

FAIRY DANCE

FAIRY DANCE

And gaily dance we did, amidst the trees,
To enchanting fairy music, 'neat soft moonlight,
Until dawn's light called softly, on whispered breeze,
Then wearily we traipse home, to fairy fort, within.

Until once more, well rested from repose, soft starlight beckons,
and away we run to where our magic lives,
Then one by one, we dance the mystic dance,
Till all together joined, as flute and lyre, bewitch,

Beware the human ear, that hears our magic song,
For you are lost then, forever, to human kind,
And with us you must join,
a shrinking fairy to become, such as we.

Then dance you will, upon the moonlit moss,
Your dainty feet in keeping with the tune,
As the ancient tune, floats ghostlike through the trees,
Our melody, a fairy tune of calling, from beneath.

BROKEN CHILD WITHIN

BROKEN CHILD WITHIN

I found her you know, the one,
the one they said is never there,
but she was, hidden behind her cascading hair,
dangling across, her gentle caring face.

It hung, as if to hide a truth,
but it was the honesty of innocence,
that was masked,
beneath the hanging trestles, of her hair.

And slowly, slowly she revealed herself to me,
as if afraid, i might take fright,
at some unseen enigma, of her being,
but she was beautiful, in every way.

This woman, with the broken child within,
slowly, slowly reaching her hand in trust,
to take mine, and smile we did,
at each others vulnerability.

And we risked, and trusted, as not before,
reveling in our love for each other,
for it has a beauty, all its own,
one which we treasure like gold.

I will mind her now, this woman, with the broken child within,
fragile, yet strong,
an enigma, to my heart and soul, as no other,
she is mine now to keep, and I hers, and keep her i will.

ENCHANTMENT

ENCHANTMENT

If you asked me for a star, I should gladly take to wing,
to endeavor to please you, being worth the fall,
but being me, I would capture a star for you,
and then go after the moon, to adorn you.

Though in truth, you need no embellishment,
for you are perfect, to my eyes,
when Love glistens in your eyes, no star shines brighter,
that you gleam for me, the heart grows fonder.

In our poetic minds, sometimes, we are Gods, and Angels,
but with you, to be human is enough,
Earth bound in our hearts, and minds,
I see no shackles in this, for this human love, is boundless,
we share so much, the celestial stars, might envy us.

I scorn the heavens, for with you,
I hold the universe,
oh my love, to sit astride a rock, embracing you,
and watch the tide, come to kiss the hot sands.

To walk a wooded glade, hands entwined, drenched in birdsong,
the music to our love,
to hold you gently in my arms,
and kiss you, tenderly.

I give all of me, to all of you,
my love flows softly towards you,
I trust you with all things, I have to give
your gentleness, will care for them.

I will hold your heart, like a butterfly, in cupped hands,
caring, and with gentle love,
in truth, the heavens hold no charms for me,
for I have paradise with you.

Soul pain

Eagle spirits fall to the ground
Dream wings cannot fly
Dark talons pierce the soul
The heart languishes in hells nest
A shrill cry of despair echo's
through life's canyon..
'Oh, how the mighty have fallen..!'

This Isnt a Poem

this isnt a poem,
not written by me,
this isnt a poem,
as you can plainly see,

if this is a poem,
the sun shines at night,
if its a poem,
the bat can see the light,

it cant be a poem,
it was written with no thought,
i cant be a poem,
cause to write i wasnt taught,

so this isnt a poem,
as the evidence has said,
this is not a poem,
as poetry is dead,

PROFUSION

Angels bearin’ moonbeams, barely beamin’ down
mesmerized my eyes so I might see
Dazzled in amazement, Star_dulled by her crown
yet all she said was, “Yes, we came in piece.”
Soothed by sole_her energy, tightly tied to gaze
within till her illusion filled with haze
Sang her song as if harmin’, she …had a harmony sound
like profusion power, only proud and louder

(CHORUS)
Profusion----!
Empowered to raise the wild
alienated angel she
figment of a fantasy
cosmic sound of energy
like a woman inside a child*
appear up here
* (Implies smarter than expected; Reverses pregnant mother concept)

FOReign to this region, League of FOUR in time
Journeys FOR the oddest odyssey
FORward to the reason it’s metaPHORced in rhyme
Wit beFORe the witness trods with she
Alliteration is all_it_rates
A_literal assonance made
A little bit of what’s in her head
Should surely show as she said
A victim of sanity’s vanity
She smiles at some similar sounds
A person_which_takes_one more simile
Personification abounds

(CHORUS)
Profusion!----
Empowered to raise the wild
alienated angel she
figment of a fantasy
cosmic sound of energy
like a woman inside a child
appear up here
Appear up, hear? A peer, up here

She don’t wanna be a means of mere amusement
Just another thing to say-ee-yeah
She’s the dawn to a new breed of sheer illusion
Like the challenge in her way

About this poem:
These are lyrics I wrote to one of my original songs I performed with my previous rock band. The words personify one of my diverse styles of prose, because it incorporates an overly abundant/excessive (profuse) amount of poetic elements bombarded into each line. (See also "Enchanting View" for similar Profuse style; See my Profile for Illustations of both compostions, under "Photos". Thanks for reading : )
