How many days will slip by Sand through an hourglass Seperated one from another One tiny grain at a time Onto a vast seashore Will my hour ever chime How significant am I?
I have always been fascinated with hour glasses. Your poem seems a little sad to me Do you know the sand in the hour glass flows the days away because it is in an enclosure. If the walls were removed then it would just go happily falling everywhere. Not expecting to be in just one place. Free from the restraints it finds its own destiny not the expected one. Beautifully written poem.

Exquisite write. You've captured this lovely feeling of longing though there's a certain sadness in it.

Hi Yankee,
It's easy to become fatalistic about this whole process. I'm sure your hour will chime.

Sand through an hourglass
Seperated one from another
One tiny grain at a time
Onto a vast seashore
Will my hour ever chime
How significant am I?
