Petty tyrants try
To make warriors rage
To step all over you
If you *DARE* disagree
Perish forbid you should have
An opinion all of your own
Instead of being like them.
They deliberately bait and switch
They blur any reasonable set of lines
They babble on incessantly
How they're the holy put upon kind
They attack with innuendo
They slander lie and cheat
They've got a discount on their soul
And its going for dirt cheap
They whine and whinge and moan and groan
They distort and warp the thought
That might lead them to the open
Because they don't want to be caught
It's true they have no faith down deep
They cannot make the leap
They cannot help themselves
They're doomed to remain forever creeps
They're small and twisted up inside
But they can puff up really big
They claim they are the predator
But really they are the pig
Not that they can't slather
Or layer it on real thick
They have just enough intelligence
To know how to be slick
It's the Punk of the Week Award
The slant rant point of view
Going to the one who's got a crock
Full of talk talk talk
But isn't much on follow through

A poem about small minded people who tend to be very petty and the childishness of it all.

Though tired, weary, hateful days
Will always come and go;
There is one thing we trust in-
There is one thing we know....
A better time is coming!
Even though the work is hard,
And praise from fellows few;
There is one thing we can remember,
One thing we can do...
Give thanks to God for health and job.
So push on friends and do your best
And so give praise to God;
For thankful children shall be blest
With Peace, and not the rod.
Give thanks to God!
After all, counting your blessings
IS more fun than crying about what you don't have!

In the book of Job,
God replied to Job's cries
By commenting on the majesty of one of His creations
The horse.
"Hast thou given the horse strength?
Hast thou clothed his neck with thunder?
The glory of his nostrils is terrible;
He paweth the valley and rejoiceth in his strength
He goeth on to meet the armed men.
He mocked at fear, and is not affrightened;
Neither turneth he back from the sword.
He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage.
He cannot stand still when the trumpets sound."
And oh, what a sound it is!
Riding on so fearlessly
It is like heaven's holy arena.
Fearing no one and nothing
The wars and battles won
The horse and man became friends
Always in the shadow of the one.
A lifelong friendship had been forged
And is to this very day.

I live in a trashcan
on a cold alley street
Amongst all the garbage
with sores
on my feet
Oh, You've walked by,
mabey a time
or two
Handed me a dollar
So kind of you
Today, you spoke,
and we talked
awhile
You asked, 'Do I
know you?..
with a curious
smile
'I've heard that
voice
seems long ago
'Pardon my asking,
just wanted to
know..'
I raised and
smiled, and you
steadied my fall
Its been so long,
you may not recall
But when you were
small..just a little
girl
You were my
baby
My precious
pearl
But darling, things
went wrong
Your mom so sad
The broken man
you hold..
Is your own
sweet dad..

A Poem was sent
to prison
To await
execution
From fearful minds
who'd silence
Freedoms Revolution!
At 6am. the guns
will fire
Every phrase shot
through and through
But Freedoms Rhymes
will reload again
to give its life
for You!

'One more cup of coffee before I go,
to the valley below...'
- Bob Dylan
The poet is a coffee filter,
the world a blend.
I am not the nutrients
nor the soil.
I am not the rain
which seeps into your being
before you awaken.
I am not even the bean.
Those before me have ground you,
have broken you.
I am here
to take your scattered being,
all of it,
and give it freshness,
molding you into a vital,
intoxicating
elixir of life.
One that burns the mouth,
Scolds the flesh,
Stains the teeth,
and enlivens the soul.
I am the poet.

Sunshine Police
riding Dark Clouds
on high
Arresting the Light
in a Sleepy Blue
Sky
Arise! Sun Beams!
Fight for
the Light!
Before the
Sunshine Police
Turn your Day
into Night!

To hear a voice cry out in pain
Not understanding
To know the person inflicting the pain
Is doing it intentionally.
Why are people torn apart?
Because of ignorance?
Fear?
A programmed reaction?
Because of something as simple as skin color
Such a reaction!
It has been so long.
will we ever be one?
I do not know.
I hope so.

Take a journey
to the heart
of desire
Into the abyss
of passions
fire
Through waves and
waves of liquid
love
Steaming up daydreams
miles above
Through swirling
currents
of uncharted
regions
Your soul is
snatched by
passions legions
Through a web of
cracks does
reason seep
Violently
tossed in this
breathless deep
This eternal fire
is ever burning..
This Heart of Desire
is ever Yearning..

Walk into eternity
adorned with imortality
Stripped of flesh
and bone, this
primitive reality
Mind dimensions
unknown
Spirit transcending
time
Consciousness awakening
from itself
With its memory
left behind
Infinity is just
a moment, as long
as forever hangs
around
Eternity is but
a broken clock..
The only game
in town~
